"In recent days I have grown increasingly concerned about her conservative credentials, and I was dismayed to learn this week about her speech in 1993, in which she sounded pro-abortion themes, and expressed so much praise for left-wing feminist leaders.

Me too, Dr. D. That's what caused me to hop off the bandwagon.

Dobson was for Miers, before he was against her. Sheesh!

Good grief! Just go away already.

His big mouth was part of the problem.

This seems to confirm the rumor Dobson phoned the W.H. yesterday saying he'd go public with dissent if she remained.

It had been noticeable he'd grown quiet in the last couple of weeks with his support.

There goes the theory Christains, who were never united behind her anyway, are going to exact retribution.

Am I missing something here or does Dobson think Bush could have done something other than accept Mier's withdrawal? Could he force her to continue?

Yes and I defiantly want an explanation as to why it was floated as a given that she is pro-life now.

Was there a reason for that or was everyone including her lying ?

I have nothing against Dobson but for some reason he, Bauer, Robertson, have just been LAME on SCOTUS nominees.

They either mindlessly repeat the party line or make silly, unsupported statement they later disavow.

No one should pay any attention to what they say about SCOTUS nominees.

Dobson shot his mouth off and was going to be called in front of the Senate.

I'm wondering if this is one of the reasons Miers withdrew...she didn't want to see the hearings become a carnival of christian baiting.

Dobson is OK with the family psychology but he does get too bit for his britches.

I guess Dobson is a closet liberal now that only wants to bring down this president.

Well, wiser minds have spoken...

..so I will shut up.

I have confidence in Dr.Dobson...and have for over 20 years.

I can think for myself, and often do....:^

..but I trust this man very much.....

..Now I will quietly slip away and stop arguing this...

..except to say it really didn't help our President fo so called conservative folks--in the media-- to publicly slap him down on a daily basis.

There....I'm through.

Dr. Dobson was abused by WH spin machine and unlike Armstrong Williams, he did not receive remuneration.

Wow and to think Dr. Dobson was a sexist, elitist DU troll after all this time...

;-)

It looks like Dobson is finally learning what I learned years ago. NEVER trust a politician who says 'trust me'.

the thread on her 93 speech is very telling - alot of freepers were changing their minds in real time last night on that one.

she was stopped just in time, she would have flipped.

Dobson has always been too judgemental as far as I am concerned. He thinks far too highly of himself.

I guess this announcement is for those who give a hoot about what he has to say.

Karl Rove told Dobson that Miers was bait for the left and would pull her nomination before confirmation. That way he could nominate a real conservative and try and get the testicleless pukes in the Senate to fight for him/her.

...that's my story and i'm sticking to it... (at least until i see who he nominates)
