Why am I not surprised that Dr. Dobson is a target to you?

I have no problem with Dr. Dobson's position. I was against Miers at first, then for her, then finally when that speech from 1993 came out, totally and completely against her.
Sorry for not being a closed-minded stooge.

Wait a minute...Dr. Dobson was doing exactly what most of the Pro-Miers folks wanted: While many conservative pundits publicly opposed the nominee, Dr. Dobson afforded her time for more of her record to come out. The 1993 speech seemed to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. You can't logically argue for "more time" for her record to come to light and then slam a person who becomes convinced that that very same record is an ill omen.

Dobson was for Miers, before he was against herAnd he WOULD have been against her, and thats why she was pulled. Without the Christian right, there was no backing for this worth counting on.

Sarcasm runs deep here and I see what you are saying, but it's a little different than "I supported the war, before I was against it."

The term for someone who will not change his mind when presented with new evidence is "bigot."
