Wow.
Girls humiliate guys who are unattractive or are viewed as geeks.
Guys humiliate girls who are not attractive, are fat or ackward.
Guys with hair insult bald people.
The list goes on and on.
But the only thing we won't tolerate is picking on gays.
Why are gays treated better than the stupid, unattractive, bald, fat, ackward, unathletic, etc?

He should obviously be sent to a re-education camp to be put on the path of "liberal" righteousness. /SAR.

Well, it
is a private university and does have the right to determine what is and is not acceptable behavior for its students, and who its students are. Of course, there are issues of contract law, whether or not this sort of thing was clearly made punishable in the express and implied contracts between the student and the university: having paid his fees, the student has performed. Has he breached the agreement? Would the university be in breach if it expelled him? It would be fun to take that case (if someone were paying my usual exhorbinant hourly rates).
This should be disquiety to Catholics who hoped the new Pope might do something about the homosexuals in the priesthood. Interestingly, even 35 years ago in a Catholic university setting, there were attempts to discipline students for being anti-homosexual after having passes made at them.
Why can't the Church simply live by the doctrine it preaches?

Diversity mantra pushes forward - message to all those who think this doesnt affect you - Businesses are now pushing the diversity mantra and this basically means if you are white (and esp male) and Christian you are going to be punished for your values. For those that dont think boycotting companies like this is a reason for change then you obviously support limited speech and our rights taken away from us.
DIVERSITY is the new evil.

Why does a university have any say over what a student does on an online discussion forum not hosted by the school?
What happens to posters on FR if they're posting on the campi of Stanford, SUNY, Harvard, Yale or Brown and the PC police at their school discovers screen names are actually a student in their midst?
I fail to see how the University has any jurisdiction here.

He ought to submit a ten page essay from a lawyer on why viewpoint discrimination is illegal.

Freedom of speech is under attack in our country and too
many institutions are buckling under to intimidation from
the brownshirted "gay activists." Of course a university is
almost like headquarters for them but private companies are
buckling under to "diversity" too. Click your bootheels
and salute. And the legacy of Ernst Rohm (GAY HITLER BROWNSHIRT LEADER) lives on.

"University Code which prohibits harassment or discrimination based on, among other groups, sexual orientation"
Lots of wiggle room in that 'code'.
What is their definition of 'discrimination' or 'harrassment'.
Curiously, I wounder if Duquesne University considers bestiality, necrophilia, or pedophilia as covered in their definition of 'sexual orientation'.
Homosexuality was considered a paraphilia just as pedophilia, bestiality, and necrophilia.
(Paraphilias as defined by DSM-IV, are sexual impulse disorders characterized by intensely arousing, recurrent sexual fantasies, urges and behaviors (of at least six months' duration) that are considered deviant with respect to cultural norms and that produce clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational or other important areas of psychosocial functioning.)
Are those behaviours exempt from criticism as well at Duquesne University?
