I figured some of you would be happy and doing cartwheels. I for one excepted her and think she would have been a good SCJ. Why anyone would want to go through the name calling and baggering she has gone through is beyond my understanding. I am sure Laura Ingraham, and Whiny Ann Coulter are happy. They have shown me their true colors and I will never support either of them again.

Explain why she would have been a good SCJ? I want to know any facts that would help you prove that to others. I don't want your feelings. They play no part in this discussion. Prove us wrong with facts and not stupid bluster that proves nothing.
I didn't like her nomination, but thought the president deserved to have his nominee have her day at the hearings. I think that the Concerned Women of America call to withdraw her nomination yesterday had a lot to do with this. They are a powerful group and held their fire for a long, long time to sift through the evidence. When they finally decided to not support her, they met with Dan Coats yesterday and explained their decision. Miers lost grassroot support. But I still believe she should have been given the opportunity to appear before the judicial committee.
There's always a place for blind unquestioning loyalty, I suppose.
