Did Mrs. Bush make it through *another* game into the wee hours? I bailed at around 1:30 Eastern.

Thanks. I get the same feeling every year.

I was hoping the series would make it back to Chicago so the Sox could win at home. Something about winning it on the road takes something out of the excitement.

I think the cameras were focused more on hanging heads in the loosing dugout than they were on the celebration on the field.

If the Sox can do it - then some day in my life time I hope, I will see The Mariners win it all.

Let's see, last year's champ won it in 1918, this year's won it in 1917. And the Red Sox won it in 1916, so my money is on the Red Sox winning it again next year.

The Indians were the next best team in baseball at the end of the season. But that Sox pitching is just overwhelming.

Freddy Garcia got himself in a rather deep hole in the seventh inning but but he pitched his way out of it with some beautiful off-speed inside pitches. That's what separates the great ones from the good ones.

When Garcia gets past the third inning he is generally victorious. Our pitching has been so superior to the teams we faced there hasn't been much of a fight even though the opponents generally played excellent ball.

Is it my imagination or did I not hear once about the 1919 Chicago Black Sox scandal during this series?
