Israel: Remove Iran from the UN
Jerusalem Post and AP ^ | October 27, 2005

A day after Iranian President - in a conference titled 'The World Without Zionism' - called to "wipe Israel off the map", Prime Minister Ariel Sharon instructed Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Dani Gilerman to take action in order to remove Iran from the international organization.

Sharon was prompted into action by Vice Premier Shimon Peres, who sent a missive in which he wrote, "It is inconceivable that the head of a nation that is a member at the UN would call for genocide. His call stands against the UN charter and constitutes a crime against humanity."

Peres, who addressed his remarks to Sharon and Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, said that the severity of Ahmadinejad's comments only underline the danger in light of Iran's attempts to develop nuclear weapons and acquire long range missiles.

Reacting to the Iranian president's speech, Foreign Ministry spokesman Mark Regev said Ahmadinejad and Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar "speak openly about destroying the Jewish state ... and it appears the problem with these extremists is that they followed through on their violent declarations with violent actions."

Ebrahim Yazdi, a former Iranian foreign minister, said Ahmadinejad's remarks harmed Iran. "Such comments provoke the international community against us. It's not to Iran's interests at all. It's harmful to Iran to make such a statement," he said.

Several world governments issued statements criticizing the Iranian's remarks, including the US, Britain, France, Spain, Canada and Germany. White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan said he believed that Ahmadinejad's words speak for themselves, "highlighting our concerns of an Iranian nuclear capability."

In Madrid, Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos summoned Iran's ambassador to protest Ahmadinejad's comments. Moratinos said he rejected the remarks in the strongest possible terms.

French Foreign Minister Philippe Douste-Blazy said he learned about Ahmadinejad's comments from news reports that indicate the Iranian president called for Israel's destruction and said the conflict in the Middle East would result in a fight between Jews and Muslims.

"If these comments are correct, they are unacceptable. I greatly condemn them and have asked for the Iranian ambassador in Paris to be summoned to the Foreign Ministry to demand explanations," Douste-Blazy said.

Typical. Once they make a comment that is absolutely improper, when they're called out for it, they say 'see, the other side is doing it, too!' as if that excuses the behavior! How many times have we seen this @!$@#! 'he hit me, too' defense from Rats and RINOs?

Hey Israel...do us all a favor and erase Iran. Please use low yield nukes and avoid oil fields if possible. Thank you.

I'm not sure Iran would care. In fact they might welcome it. After all that removes any obligation on Iran's part for adhearing to any UN requirements.

Oh come on! Like this is news to anyone with a smidgeon of intelligence. The Arab nations, nearly ALL of them, despise the Jews and would love to annihilate them. Uh, oh! The proverbial cat is now out of the bag! Until now, the Western World was playing along, ignoring the obvious, as long as the Muslims didn't announce their intent! This is sort of like President Bush calling Islam the religion of peace. Maybe he hasn't actually read the Koran. I don't know, but come on!

There are probablly more than Iran that need to be removed from the UN. Especially the UN from the US.

This Iranian crap could get ugly really quick... and Iran is stupid!!! You have some of the best fighting forces in the world on either side of your borders.

4 reasons Iran is going to be in big trouble.

1. Claims they are now protecting Bin Laden and Co.
2. Continuing to defy the UN on the Nuke issues.
3. Leader of Iran calling for the elimination of Israel.
4. A population outside of the ruling class that has been clamoring for democracy for years..

I predict death from within for the current Iranian leadership perhaps with a little help from some friends.

exactly, like who that is older than say 6 mos old doesnt know this is exactly what muslims want? i guess leftists like that state of denial permanently. im sure now that the spanish, lol, minister has called in the iranian ambassador, all will be well. ditto for the frogs denouncing this in strong terms, hahaha. honestly, if i was a jew, id feel very vulnerable, very vulnerable indeed. what with dems and alot of jewish dems calling for the destruction of israel from here, euros just dying to do their anti jew thing again, asia not liking them at all, and of course we know how peaceful allahs adherents are, id as a jew just start building big weapons and let everyone know all about it. in closing just look at all the highly educated professors at universities calling for basically the same thing and that is right here in the usa

Radical Islamist Iran is demanding the total extermination of the state of Israel. The Nazi like jihadist régime in Tehran and their ally in terrorism, Syria, have already forecast their own demise through bombastic threatening hate speeches coupled with lies concerning planned assassinations and continuing instigated acts of terror directed against our troops in Iraq.

The upcoming winter months will most likely be a hot place in the Mideast, as the fanatical Mohammedan trash removal gets underway.

Rats with nukes

The UN is "a crime against humanity" itself, I expect Iran to remain a member in good standing.

Israel will do something about Iranian nuclear bomb development! I hope that the U.S. and it's allies are able to cope with it.

Israel has stated many time NEVER AGAIN, she will not go quietly into the night.

When the current ruling Jihadist thugs and Mullah thugs are killed in Iran, the terrorism they have exported since Jimmy Carter's day will become a rarity.
