PESHAWAR: Tehran warned the United States against attacking Iran over the nuclear issue on Tuesday and asserted that such a move would jeopardize the global economy.
The US will not mistake Iran as Iraq and invade, Mohammad Hassan Imani, the consul-general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Peshawar, told reporters during an Iftar party at his residence.
He said that an American invasion of Iran would drive the price of oil per barrel close to $150. The Iranian people are fully committed to the government in Tehran, he said.
He said that any US attack on Iran should be seen in the context of Iraq, which Washington invaded on the pretext that Saddam Hussain possessed weapons of mass destruction, which have still not been found.
Imani defended his countrys urge to develop what he called indigenous nuclear technology saying it was Tehrans right as a sovereign state. We will not develop nuclear weapons, the Iranian diplomat pledged. We honour our word.

Yet the libs will still scream, "No Blood for Oil."
Maybe. And the beautiful part of it is that Iran would not get a dime of it.
Do the Iranians really have that much control over prices?
We will not develop nuclear weapons, the Iranian diplomat pledged. We honour our word.
Of course, not to mere Kuffar.
On the other hand, should the millions of Iranian citizens overthrow the current regime of Mullocracy, the Iranian nation will flourish as a modern democracy and help stabalize a world oil price perhaps well below current levels...
I didn't know that IRAN was the ONLY country that sold oil?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... have a mighty big opinion of themselves, now don't they ... .
With as much leeway as the Koran allows them when making promises to us [and especially, Israeli] Infidels.
Probably not all by themselves, but make no mistake that at the very least Russia will help ensure it.
sounds like a no brainer to me...
If we invade Iran, the price of oil out of Iran will be ZERO!!
Keeping us and Israel safe, freeing millions more people from a Mullocracy. I would not mind paying increased gas prices.
The USA told Iran, "All your oil are belong to us."
So far there has been no official Iranian response.
LVM
It would be worth it to rip his and that "presidents'" face off.
If we invade Venezuela, oil will go to $100 a barrel. If we invade Iran and Venezuela at the same time, oil will go to $250 a barrel. If we invade Russia and Norway, and Venezuela and Iran at the same time oil will go to $1000 a barrel. Surprising TexaBPConoco isn't already bribing Congress to do this. Maybe they are with the windfall $50 billion. Oh, wait, Hillary is taking the $50 billion in return for nothing. Nevermind.
