A 17-year-old Illinois woman has become the first female in the state to be declared a "sexually dangerous person" by the judicial system. Prosecutors in Eureka, east of Peoria, waived a criminal hearing for Tammy Wheeler in a deal which calls for her to spend an indefinite time in prison, but also get help for her mental disorder, the Peoria Journal Star said Wednesday. Wheeler admitted to police that while babysitting, she fondled a child and masturbated. An investigator said during a court hearing that Wheeler had admitted to abusing two other children. "She stated ... that she needed help for her problem and that if released from custody she probably would molest children again," court records said. Doctors and psychologists reported Wheeler suffers from chronic posttraumatic stress disorder, resulting from childhood physical and sexual abuse; obsessive compulsive disorder, with a primary obsession of sex with obsessive and recurrent sexual urges, arousal and fantasies; and mental retardation.

Sad.
Another sexually dangerous person. He's not from Illinois, but his wife is.
Any chance of getting these two together?
He's on his way as we speak.
I hope those responsible for that young woman's mental problems are either dead or doing hard time. The repercussions of abuse goes through generations until it's finally stopped. Hope she can be pieced back together someday.
Despite this admission, some will be trying to set her free in society again. Better yet, they should let her babysit their children or grandchildren.
She (Hilary) is just plain evil.
I thought the same thing.
Be careful what you wish for. Can you imagine what a combination that would make?
LOL!! It took a few seconds for the pic to appear, very funny since I wasn't really expecting his.
At least she's in custody and aware enough to be honest about her condition. After I hit reply, I thought about all the serial killers/rapists who were abused as children. I hope she has her tubes tied, should she ever be released.
The saddest are those that know they are damaged.
Keymaster...meet Gatekeeper.
There is no Slick Willy...only ZOOOOOOOL!
Let me see if I understand this properly. Their is somebody else responsible for this woman's behavior because she was sexually abused by them? And they should be dead or in prison because their abuse caused 'generational repurcusssions' which made her into a dangerous sexual predator? But the generational repurcussions of sexual abuse she herself has perpetuated by molesting innocent little children who will now pass it on to yet others deserves our understanding and mercy, so she can "piece her life together again"?
??? Induced by previous abuse? Sad, but if she "wasn't quite right" why were people trusting her with their children? If nothing else, wouldn't they be concerned about how competent this young woman would be in an emergency? Or in following particular instructions? Or in dealing appropriately with frustrating situations (e.g. defiant children)?
Weird.

Teenager.
Yes, I do hope that whoever molested and abused this woman were caught, and are doing time. Dead would be better, because their actions started a catalyst in which more innocent children have been harmed.
Abuse generally passes down through generations. Didn't you know that? Nowhere did I say she deserved mercy, however she acknowledges what she did was wrong, and has asked to be kept locked up. She knows herself, and that in itself is a start.
I hope not only she, but her victims, can piece their lives together.
Come on the kids liked it...isnt that how it goes?
Yes, she does realize that she's damaged. It is very sad when a young person has to face a life of confinement because of the effects of what was done to them. At least she realizes she's a danger to children, and is willing to get help.
