"I'm sorry but one of my wife's friend's husband (I know, I know) used to hang out with Shep before he, the friend's husband, got married.
He's not gay."
If you still have contact with him, encourage him to sue.
Who cares one way or another?
The publications however should be closed down for their mean-spirited character assination.
LOL!!
Look up birth statistics. It used to be 1.06 to 1 M:F at birth but that's decreasing in a lot of places, apparently.
In addition, males engage in riskier behavior [darn that testosterone!] and die off at higher rates, so we don't remain a majority for very long after birth.
A gay piano bar? Jeez.... even pianos have to disclose their orientation now!
Maybe they just didn't what to be a "token" or an "affirmative action" choice on the battlefield of someone else's political agenda.
Maybe they just wanted to be noted for doing a job that they thought and their bosses thought was a good job, period.
I think the majority of "gays" do not walk around, in public or at the office, with flags and penants saying "I'm gay, I'm gay".
And if a public figure is? Do they owe other "gays" the opportunity to identify with them, BECAUSE THEY ARE GAY?
Why not identify with someone who shares your values and opinions, no matter what their "sexuality" is.
Can a "gay" person not aspire to emulate a role model who "is not gay". That's nuts.
Some gay people are just idiots.
You're kidding with your last sentence, right. You really think heteros tongues don't wag?
That's funny. Have you ever been in a grocery store?
This should be a good thread.
Next thing you know, they'll say that Tom Cruise is gay!
Don't care either way.
Never seen that Cooper guy.
I'm much more concerned about Shep's (and most of the rest of FOX) move to the left.
When I first started watching Shep, I really liked his reporting style.... Kind of like hanging out at a bar with a smart, well-informed, gregarious friend.
Don't much care for him any more now that he seems to be looking for an Anchor job at CBS or something similar.
This guy looks like one of the Vandals from the Capital One commerical.
I don't think he's gay. But you never know.
I'm not gonna ask him, either.
He could easily inflict serious damage to a small group of people.
This is ridiculous. Who cares if they are gay and why should they be forced to contribute important weight to the gay movement. This gay magazine activist has presummed too much. By outing them does he think they will step up to the plate now?
Shep recently was linked in the tabloids to Nicole Kidman. I intended to post this to defend Shep's honor, but upon further reflection, being "linked" to Nicole Kidman never seemed to help Tom Cruise shake the gay allegations.
"... tried to pick him up in a gay piano bar ..."
I thought ALL piano bars were gay!!
In a side story, Sheryl Swoopes reveals she's a lesbian (story at ESPN.com)!
Big surprise. Not.
Shep Smith? Wow. And from a guy who does a segment called the "G Spot"!
I'm surprised. I never evaluated Smith as one thing or another. Anderson Cooper, however, is noticably effeminate and I never watch his network, anyway. As to Smith, it's never been something I even thought about and I now wonder if I even want to...
Isn't that the "G Block?"
At least for a long weekend.
