GAY PUBLICATION 'OUTS' ANCHORS
Show Biz Data ^
Posted on 10/26/2005 10:23:55 AM PDT by LesbianThespianGymnasticMidget
The gay-oriented Houston Voice has "outed" CNN's Anderson Cooper and Fox News Channel's Shepard Smith, charging that they "choose to hide and deceive -- and to protect their incomes and images -- at the expense of contributing important weight and star power to the gay civil rights movement." Managing Editor Kevin Naff claims in an editorial appearing in the current edition of the Voice that Smith once tried to pick him up in a gay piano bar in New York City and that Cooper dodged a question about his sexual orientation in a recent New York magazine interview by saying, ""The whole thing about being a reporter is that you're supposed to be an observer and to be able to adapt with any group you're in ... and I don't want to do anything that threatens that." Commented Naff: "Does he believe that female and African-American reporters lack credibility to cover stories since their minority status is showing?"

With names like Anderson and Shep, I'd say they were doomed at birth! Give a kid a gay name and what do you expect? When my wife was pregnant we had those baby name books. My friend was over drinking beer and picked one up. He looked up his name. Bruce. Here is what it said...
Bruce: Might be gay
I thought he was kidding when he told me thats what it said so I looked. Sure enough, Bruce: Might be gay.

Gotta agree with you there...I have friends at Fox....he has a reputation as being a bit slutty....but with women...

Actually speculating on the private lives of famous people has always been a popular pastime and always will as long as there are famous people.
It makes for interesting conversation, but in the end means nothing. How Shepard Smith decides to live his private life has very little to do with his ability to read news off of a teleprompter.
If his private lifestyle starts to color his ability to do his job, then it is no longer private, is it. On that basis it is worth wile to understand someone's point of view based on their private conduct. But in Shepard Smith's case, I have never found his reporting to colored by whether he is straight or gay.

"Pianos are gay???
"
Only some pianos are gay. Piano bars, with built in seats, are gay. Pianos painted in any color other than black or brown are gay. Grand pianos with candelabra on them are gay. Any piano with sequins anywhere on it is gay. Some player pianos are gay, but it's hard to tell with them. You really have to look at the rolls. If it's show tunes, then the player piano is gay. If not, it's straight.
All the rest of the pianos are straight.
I hope that helps clear things up.

I, as a woman, will never be able to look at Shep in the same way ever again. Now he will just be a manizer to me.

I agree and that has been my experience as well with homosexuals. They are obsessed.

Why do homosexuals assume that heterosexuals give a crap about someone's sex life?
"Perxactly."
It wouldn't matter to me if either was, or wasn't. I do think Anderson Cooper's reply showed some class. I had heard or read someplace years ago that he was gay. As for Shepherd Smith, I don't know and don't care....just give us the news, please!
Houston Voice=pretty low rent to "out" your brothers and sisters. It is none of your business.

I like him also...I like his passion about whatever he is reporting....even during Katrina. I know some people do not care for him....my husband is not a big fan....but Shep can't please everyone. Like I said, if Brit likes him, I must give him a chance.
I will NEVER forget when he slipped up and said bl**j*b on air. It was so funny....a mistake that anyone could make. We all slip up and say some things we don't mean to say, or trip and fall, etc...(it is just usually not on live TV)...Brit really stuck up for him during those days. It was an innocent mistake but still funny. I am glad Shep was able to put it behind him and move on.
