During the trial, both victims showed little sympathy for their mother.

"She never didn't want me to do it," the girl testified.

"She was the one helping my dad."

This woman and her husband should be executed, prison is too good for them.

I disagree. Death is to merciful a punishment for them.

I feel so sick when I read stuff like this...then really, really angry.

The woman should have killed her husband. Even if she had gone to jail, the children would have been better off.

It can't be manslaughter...he isn't a man.

Poor kids. I'm saying a prayer for them.

The judge said he was recommending the woman be evaluated by the state hospital and Department of Corrections

Drowning would be a more appropriate idea.

You can't execute rapists because then they'd have no incentive to allow their victims to live.

Why can't all women spot a psycho the moment they meet? Or are they attracted to that?

I agree with the death penalty.
Heck, they get to live, and nothing has changed (other than location).

But their kids are missing something they'll never get back....they will battle the demons for the rest of their lives.

Impail them both and leave their corpses to rot on the pike in front of the courthouse as a warning.

Denver District Judge Herbert Stern told her Monday that she had a duty to leave.

She had a duty to shoot the bastard in the head the first time he touched her children. Even the lowest form of vermin will protect their young.

This is a story I read the other day that really disturbed me.

http://judithbarsi.dc-lundberg.net/

What is missing from the story is that the mother finally went to the authorities for help and that is when the husband followed through on his threat to kill them.

By the way, Judith Barsi was the voice of Ducky in "The Land Before Time".

I do feel sorry for her since she'd clearly beeen driven past the point of rational thought but there are some crimes that are unforgiveable. This is one.

Which is worse, being violated like this by your father, or having your mother not only stand by and do nothing, but facilitate the assualt? To me, this is the worst sort of atrocity: betrayal at the hands of those who are to nurture and protect.

Just a general question for the Christians here- as a "new" one, I have a hard time understanding things like this. How can these kids possibly ever be expected to follow the "Honor Thy Father And Mother" Commandment?
