This is the photo the Chicago Libune chose to run on the front page of the paper this morning. Of all the thousands of photos, the Libune chooses this piece of backslapping to Clinton. A better photo would have been the actual mug shot that the AP has on file. I looked for the photo of Clinton and Parks and I found quite a pool to from which to make my choice. I do not believe this photo was printed innocently. I wonder how many more papers ran this photo.

I wonder what happened to the man that wanted her seat on the bus.

I think that there was a conscious decision behind using that photo. How ironic that man did so much to push for racial division during his administration. Especially with his false claims that their were a rash of "racist" church fires. The investigation into that political charge took the FBI off of more actual problems of national security.
The FBI's report was that there was no rise or overall agenda behind the fires (some were for insurance purposes, some were accidental, some were strictly anti-religion).
I consider their use of this photo to the byline when a famous actor dies and it is quick to cite his most recent film (decades after the glory years).

You are correct. I'm in Chicago and had a Trib delivered to my hotel room. Not a fitting tribute to Rosa by having her with Clinton.

America has come a long way. Yes it has. It amazes me what has transpired in the last 50 years.

America has come a long way. I'd say we've lost more than we have gained in the last 50 years.

I think the photoyou posted would have made a better frontpage. Gets the point across as far as I'm concerned."The one they used fit their agenda better.

Welcome to Chicago. Fine time to visit. Have some fun tonight, even if you're not a White Sox fan.

I think this is something best left alone. Rosa Parks legacy is without question, good. Leave her and her family alone. BY the way, why don't you post a nice picture of Rosa Parks and GWB?

Delay has a better mug shot.

And on a lighter note, the City of Santa Rosa is dedicating a new city park in her honor. It will be called The Santa Rosa Rosa Parks Park.
