Your very welcome! I have had those for so long I don't remember where they came from.
So sorry to hear that Gail, I wish I knew the remedy..
My shoulder has been hurting, I think it's arthritis. I hate gettin old.
Like I offered Lonestar, if they are really having problems getting things fixed I can always go there and fix it for them.
Winter is coming quickly here and if I don't win the election I'll be free to travel. Let me know Maggie.
My brother lives outside Orlando.
Yes - they are more than aware of the hazard, as I stated here:
He and Sandy had retreated to a safe part of the house, but with no power for a/c, mold and mildew will quickly entrench. She is asthmatic and very sensitive to it."
She also is highly allergic to cigarette smoke, and cannot enter our house since B smokes, and it permeates the house.
It would not surprise me if she will have to go to stay with her mother in Columbia, now widowed, and is recovering from pneumonia.
Terrible decisions to make, completely unexpected.
Here is a web site he created to show us the house before they purchased it - - Click Here - The area of Port St. Lucie where it is is located just below the intersection of I-95 and the Florida Turnpike.
Looking at a map of Florida, you can see where they are, just below that arch formed where they cross over one another.
The builder is renowned because it is headed by a woman who formed her own company in 1985 (RENAR Home Builders), designing houses with what women want. Not just typical Florida boxes, but with niches and different kinds of ceilings - cathedral, coffer, vaulted, etc.- and numerous huge closets, etc.
[There is a RENAR web site with her picture - still a stunning blonde!]
Now that I think of it, Kevin probably has damage to his house, even bigger - in a beautiful no-through-traffic lake homes community in Lake Worth. It's very close to 441 - that goes up to Orlando.
They'd be so blessed to have someone of known character and thoroughly Christian to help them. Steve was 51 in April - Kevin 50 in July. I know you'd like them both, successful through their own efforts, but not a stuffy bone in their bodies - family loving and fun fellows..:))
Would your contractor's license be recognized in the state of Florida, though?
Will send you an email when I hear from them...
LUV W, I Saw one of your Tables Yesterday when I was Lurking, the one of our Lord with little children, and it was so Beautiful!
Our Loving Lord Bless Everyone at the Finest, and our Military, and Thank you for the Daily Devotionals, Mr. Mayor.
(((((((HUGS))))))) to Everyone!
Oh, thank you Kitty! I appreciate the kind words. I just love those pencil drawings of Jesus. I just know He was like that.....full of enthusiasm when He was around little ones!
Keep in touch. My email has changed, I will freep mail it to you.
Contractors License? I dunno, they do that to protect people from fly by nighters. If there was a question they could say a friend is coming in from out of state to do the repairs.
I deal with insurance companies all the time the up here. Been in trades almost 30 years.
I will look at the website and see where they are in relation to my brother too.
I think there is carpet (berber) only in the bedrooms.
Nice looking house, looks like all stucco exterior.
I wonder if it's actual cement type stucco or what they call "Drive it"?
If it is soaking wet it should be pulled up right away. Or.. suck as much water out with a strong shop vac, lift up the carpets and but blower fans under it and let them blow away...
Of course that is difficult with no electric. If no electric they should pull it and the pad, hang them outside if possible.
Yes, my thought was what if the insurance company demands a licensed in Florida contractor.
It is likely, I'd think, they'd waive that in view of the many homes still waiting to be repaired from last and previous years!
{Especially with the jobs galore in Louisiana and Texas and Mississippi taking up so many workers}
Suspect someone was having it built to move South, and changed their mind - perhaps health reasons? - whatever.
There is no electricity for 3,000,000 persons, Rus; and they'd know to remove wet carpet and pad at once, for Sandy's sake. They have a son, 22, who lives in the Ft. Lauderdale area, and can come up to help him with removal.
If necessary we will see what it would take to get a Fla license, it may not be necessary as you sau due to all the workers that left for the other storm damaged states. Alot of people I know are heading south to help in the rebuilding. It wouldn't bother me any... Better than starving for work up here all winter.
- Here -
and then select the Zoom in the center of the row on the left.
That will show you the location from the two Interstates.
Evenin' Mayor.
Our nephew will be deployed soon and a campaign has been launched within the unit family to "Adopt a Soldier."
Anyone who might be interested drop me a FReepmail for details.
In the meantime...
Salute to our Armed Forces - Past and Present.
May our LORD Bless each one. And may each of them honor Him as they also honor our great country.
Is he on the Prayer list? If not we will have to add him..
Please Thank him for all of us!
Keep me posted, K..
