I didn't see it, but managed to find a partial video of the event.
She was in the boat, paddling, and talking about the area now being part of the deep river. Momentarily, 2 guys come walking by, showing she was in about 4-6 inches of water.
Even Katie and Matt made guffawing comments about it, and that carried over into later segments of the program. [There is a Today Show thread for that morning on FR.]
