Senator Inhofe has gotten a piece of my mind on this issue . . . again. I'm with you, OO. If these guys keep spending more and more of our money, like they've been doing, then we'll get some news guys in there.
But they need to keep in mind that many of us have revolutionary blood in our veins that goes back to the 1700s. We will suffer a long train of abuses, but we have a limit, and at that point, we break with the established government.
They are making a mistake if they think force of arms will overcome us at that point. History is clear about that.
Sadly, these same members would have to vote on the proposal for the term limits.
3 terms in the Senate, 9 terms in the House - doesn't even have to be a lifetime ban, and starts with the current term of the members, not retroactive. That would sufficiently put fresh bodies in there every once in awhile and allow for enough experience in the mix to keep it from being chaotic. Not even that would pass, however.
12 years ought to be enough....For crying out loud....most citizens don't work 12 years at the same job anymore....No reason the gob'ment suck-ups need to..!!
Yeah...you are more than likely right....it's a pipe dream.
FRegards,
The battle over internal improvements goes back to the time of the writing of the constitution. If the internal improvements made so far were to be dug up and returned to the natural state, the country would revert to wilderness.

Now Republicans are fighting other Republicans over whose pet projects should get the most funds. These people don't seem to care that they are spending money that doesn't belong to them. I expect the Democrats, not the Republicans, to have this lack of fiscal restraint.
Did you ever hear Dennis Miller's definition of Congress (in his comedy routine "The Raw Feed")? If not, here it is:
"Most politicians are stiffs. Let's face facts: Congress is just a place where we send mediocre men to be Earl Scheibed into looking kinda vaguely consequential, and politics is just another bulls**t world where 'my esteemed colleague' means 'this pr*ck here'."
Saw this editorial yesterday. Can I assume the Tulsa World did not have the same take on this?
Dr. Tom is coming to our fundraiser here in Cleveland County on the 18th of November as our keynote speaker to help out our County Party. Cannot wait to hear him speak!
What a freaking joke.
I want another Dr. Tom to run against Inhofe -- I am livid Inhofe voted against this bill.
Know Landrieu only voted because of New Orleans but people like Allen voted their conscience!
I don't read the Tulsa SocialistMarxist World....
My fish won't even be wrapped in that LiberalLeftist rag....
I'd like to go to that fundraiser.....let me know the particulars.....
FRegards,
You and I have the same attitude on the Tulsa World!
We are waiting on OU to tell us which venue and then everything will be firmed up. I will definitely let you know.
Cannot wait to hear Dr. Tom -- enjoyed him at the Convention -- he is making very few appearances so we are really lucky to have him be our keynote speaker.
Same, same....!!
Inhofe blew it on this issue...and apparently had an attitude about it also.
I know he wasn't happy when Dr. Coburn won the primary either......
FWIW-
I know! I wasn't happy at the establishment wanting Humphries but I was sure glad when Dr. Tom won and didn't have to have a run-off.
