There has been a lot of outrage in the media concerning the burning of a couple of dead, Taliban fighters in Afghanistan in early October.
Yet, the Australian journalist who videotaped the proceedings, Stephen Dupont, stated in an interview on National Public Radio yesterday that he believed the bodies were burned purely for reasons of hygiene when the local villagers refused to retrieve them, and that the American soldiers didn't do anything wrong.

How many Americans were burned to death on September 11?
I hear ya, I'm just fed up with PC that is coming not only the media but this admin. also, they've gotten media whipped and I'm sick of it.
Why would a troop take orders from a journalists?
-----
Most likely because they had been with us for a few days and the journalists made some friends with some of the troops. I explained to the men later that these guys were not our friends. That if we had let them film us burning down this village it would have been all over the news and made the anti war mob happy as hell.
Save for later.
By the way, thank you for your service. Note to top dogs: Drill into new recruits heads that JOURNALISTS ARE NOBODIES. THEY DON'T HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO TELL YOU WHAT TO DO.
Ok, I'm done. =)
