Police: Woman Left Infant Alone For Three Weeks Baby Is In Fair Condition

COVINGTON, Ohio -- Authorities said that a mother left her 7-month-old baby alone in her apartment for three weeks while she stayed with a friend.

Ashley Traylor, 20, was arrested Friday in Covington, about 30 miles north of Dayton. Her child is being treated for severe malnourishment and is in fair condition.

Traylor is being charged with criminal abuse, NBC4 reported.

Police said that the baby was nearly lifeless when he was found. They say he hadn't eaten or had his diaper changed in three weeks.

A friend that the mother was staying with said Traylor told her that her son was with a babysitter.

Friends said that Traylor is pregnant again and has a 3-year-old in foster care.

If you do, please let me know. I've been following this saga of Mindy McCready (the ex-Country star) and her drugs/drinking/suicide attempts and pregnancy and wondering what chance that baby has in life when it's being subjected to all this in the womb.

Yep. Pregnant, attempted suicide a couple of weeks ago (because she broke her probation in Tenn. and doesn't want to be brought back to Arizona to stand trial for trying to defraud a local boat dealer out of 1/2 millions dollars in boats..... and kidnapping a couple to get out to the airport and out of town... it goes on she is a great example of someone out of control and an innocent baby going along for the ride in her womb.

Ok, Doctor Fellburg, my buddy, just told me that meth
on an unborn child:

1) birth defects
2) hiv, if mother uses needle(many do)
3) addition of the fetus to the drug
4) brain damage

He also claims meth is harder to kick than heroin. This is predicated on interviews with former heroin users, who kicked heroin, but seem unable to kick meth. SCARY

I didn't know his son had died from a drug overdose a couple of weeks ago -- and more that he had struggled with addiction for ten years and spent 8 months in a East Coast rehab.. Shapirro said what he'd learned about drug addiction was so jolting that he is dedicating the rest of his life to finding a way to stop or cure this once and for all.

I find that remark to be extremely offensive and totally incorrect. I think we all know men who would find the presence of a pulse completely irrelevant to the issue.

Not for me. I work with a lot of meth addicts who have abused or neglected their chidlren. They are ALL white.

The location is noted as Covington, OHIO, but the address of the mom is listed as Cambridge Square complex off Taylor Mill Road, which is in Covington, Kentucky- right across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. Unless there is a parallel complex on a parallel road in these two communities??

This is Covington, KY. The apt complex is right about the point where Latonia, Taylor Mill and Covington converge. My husband works nearby. Not a nice area.

But this woman is a little heavy. I had an officer tell me one time that you can tell when someone's using meth, they are very skinny and hollow looking.

Covington is where my SIL is from. It's a small town where everyone knows everyone. I'll have to ask him what the people in his town have to say. If anyone knows , it's his mother, she seems to know everyone's business (lol)

It's southern Ohio we are up on the Lake. About 4 hrs from here.

I know it's a bit of a rude comment, but it's just so frustrating when these insane, drugged-out women are not only destroying the children already born, but always, it seems, also pregnant again.
