THREE people have died during a riot outside a Coptic church in Alexandria, Egypt, after a protest against a play accused of offending Islam.
Police used sticks and tear gas to hold back a crowd of some 5000 protesters who marched on St George's church.
Dozens of people were injured in the crush. One man who died was trampled and had inhaled tear gas, police said.
On Wednesday, a Muslim man stabbed a nun in protest at the sale of a DVD of the play, staged at the church in 2003. The demonstration was the latest in a series of incidents at the church related to the performance of the play.
Entitled I Once Was Blind But Now I See, the drama tells the story of a poor young Copt who is drawn to Islamist militants who then try to kill him.
Coptic Christian leaders say the play depicts the dangers of extremism, not of Islam.

The DVD of a play depicts a young man who converts to Islam and then questions his decision.
This is why 3 people died.
Islam is barbaric, backwards, and unholy. It is evil, vile, abhorrant, and it does not originate from that which there can be no greater.
Islam must reform, or be destroyed.

I don't think it has a choice. Maybe all the violent nonense we're seeing now is some form of reform.

Yeah, but the play had islamic characters in it and these characters were probably being played by non-islamic people < shudder > maybe even Christians.
There's absolutely no pleasing the muhzies. You include them in your art, they riot and try to kill people, especially religious people like the Nun in this article. If you ignore them in your art, they riot because they feel slighted, they think you deliberately left representation of their ilk out, like you were depicting a world with no muhzies.
And their ignorant rants are beyond the pale of a civilized society.
The Lefties would say they deserved it, becuase, in their minds, the worst offense ever is to offend a Muslim.
Now there is a brave example of Islamic manhood. Afterward he went home and raped a 9 year old to celebrate citing Muhammad as an excuse for his pedophilia.
Oh, I think I did read that. What was the reason the border killed them? I am assuming, of course, that there would be a reason.
