"I don't know that Jimmy was the worst President of modern times. LBJ deserves some serious consideration. And Nixon set back the conservative cause considerably by running right and governing left. But certainly, he is a major contender for the "honor".

Valid points, all. But I think the ramifications of Carter's insane foreign policy have yet to be fully understood. In fact, I think it will take the next 50 years to fully appreciate just how awful the man was as Pres.

Carter is incapable of learning anything - today he thinks he was right about everything - just that the country didn't give him a second chance (term). He is convinced that communism is the way to go.

Maybe ol' Jimmah will develop a REALLY severe peanut allergy! Problem solved!

So you're wishing death upon him?

No, but I won't be grieving when he does die.

I wish I had a nickle every time someone said to me, Jimmy Carter, what a great, great man.

Then I have to roll my eyes and say sit down this is going to take some time to reverse the lies...

The media just loves Jimmy and this flows over to the apathetic type in America.

And there are so many who do not take ownership of this country seriously.

Geez, is it not frustrating but at the same time, evidence of a sleeping majority ? All the great things I know about Bush and he is continually demonized.

All the stupid things Jimmy Carter did and he is continually held in high esteem. Sheesh....

Clinton was Carter's force multiplier. I have always deeply resented the "jeans in Our White House" angle- and this bastard is an Annapolis graduate. Question- How does a flukeless anchor become a U.S. President? Answer- By allowing an 8 year War President to falter & fumble. The true damage has not yet, been fully measured.

Exactly. The whole rise of Muslim Fundamentalism that we are dealing with now got a big boost during the Carter Presidency.

But they are both "floaters." They both have floated to the top of the RAT sewer.

Well, you won't get any argument from me about that. Jimmy gets worse, every time you look at him. I used to like him, not as a President, but as a man. He has since totally destroyed that for me.

Then we also have FDR, who has bequeathed us so many of our social problems.

A JFK. It's possible he did so little harm because he had so little time. Jimmy, though, I have to admit, was very special.

Thank You! One of the things that most galls me about the Dems is their ownership by the Chinese Communists. Carter gave them the most strategic location in the Western Hemisphere and his political descendant Clinton gave them an intercontinental missile system and a manned space program.
That is why I keep my tag line consistent. That sentiment never changes.

"JFK. It's possible he did so little harm because he had so little time."

I see it differently;
I'm amazed that kennedy did so MUCH damage in that little time.

FDR received total support and cover for his actions from the media; during a war. There is some justification for that.

kennedy turned the media into his personal cheering section, his death imbued the press with some kind of mystic need to make him holy; its still possible to end up in a fight should you suggest otherwise.

Every left wing nut case since then has had the benefit of that coup within the journalistic caste.

On top of that, the bureaucratic weasels who still infest State Department, schools, courtrooms, unions, and most local governments will each and every one cite the glories of JFK as their motive for action.

Carter benefited from kennedy's aura and what literally no one ever points out is that the two were virtually 90 degrees opposite in their policies.
