Candor, you have hit the nail on the head. The problem is, the heads have already rolled--halls over at Langley are echoing with the silence of the fired and the quit. Unfortunately, they are taking their survival skills with them into the wilderness. Remember that group of retired CIA operatives who were making such a stink? I remember hearing over a year ago that the Niger memo was forged by "disgruntled ex-CIA employees." I agree. The folks who defend President Bush on such things as No Child Left Behind, the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit, and signing Campaign Finance Reform really need to brush up on the Constitution.

And how do you propose this president do more than what he's done? Considering we've just come off of almost 70 years of liberal control, one president isn't going to make it happen. He's setting the stage for a more conservative president. If you think this country would elect a 'true conservative' think again, it would never happen today, but maybe in 12 years from now. President Bush is the right man at the right time to get people thinking about conservatism. If we keep on getting some issues resolved, or bring them up for debate, the public will take notice. You can't force conservatism on half the country without them knowing what it's about. Thank the liberal federal school system for that. But, we're gaining, and we have to keep fighting. We've got to look at the long term results. President Bush is just the first person in the long chain of events that could happen, we have to, our country depends upon it. If we keep on this course, imagine what a 'republican' president will be like 3-4 terms down the road.

The media, the rat Party, much of the judiciary, the education/indoctrination system, the unions, and a government bureaucracy that work the system whether rats or Republicans are in power, are all doing whatever they can to keep a portion of Americans ignorant and weak.

It will take a long time to dismantle this leviathan, but I see things incrementally getting better.

We face, as I've said before, a conspiracy between the media, the Democratic Party, and certian elements of the judiciary - all of whom have, for all practical purposes, become enemies of the United States.

Don't forget the education/indoctrination system, a government bureaucracy that work the system whether rats or Republicans are in power, and portion of Americans who prefer to let others lead them like sheep.

We need to recognize the danger. Republicans aren't Democrats - the weak sisters among us will fold under pressure.

Rove and Dubya are the most astute politicians I have seen in my life, but they are still only men. There is a very real danger that this could get spun into a disaster. However none of tentacles of liberalism are as strong as they were during the time of Nixon or Reagan. I don't think there is anything of substance fueling Fitzgerald. In the end this whole fiasco will cost the rats and their allies much more than it will cost us.

Why?
Because after 6 years of watching GW BUSH jump through hoops to appease the hate filled dishonest senate democrats, as well as the MSM, voters like me are completely demoralized.
The most recent example:: After Ray Nagin cussed Bush out on national TV, GW made no less than 8 trips to New Orleans.
GW had dinner with Nagin, fired the innocent head of FEMA, allowed the moderates to "investigate" and apologized for not being God (sarcasm)
Meanwhile, conservative voters like myself have held their tongue on issue after issue, like Rx Medicaid, like amnesty for illegals and like the Ted Kennedy education bill.
But, when some conservatives have the gall to complain about Harriet Meirs, how does Bush respond? He seems arrogant annoyed and dismissive. Wouldn't it be nice if BUSH would hand his base voters an olive branch? Just once? And don't even get me started about Able danger.

This is an unmitigated disaster and could ultimately lead to the impeachment of President Bush. Golly. That could lead to civil war.
