I am glad you posted that (I was going to). People here had better take this seriously, these posts of "what does Bush care, he isn't running again" are simply political ignorance. this is a play by the Dems for 2006, and the Hillary presidency in 2008.

on the other thread, people keep telling me about what a good reputation Fitzgerald has. that means zero to me, dangle some 7 figure law parternship from a Dem connected firm in front of a person and watch what they turn into.

Here's a hint: When the commander turns his sword over to the enemy commander, the war is over.

Good point, if Libby or Rove are indicted I would call Plame and Miller and check and see which media people Plame had contacts with and which CIA people Miller knew. Of course the media won't pay any attention to this testimony!! Once they testify I would investigate or if I already know the answer that they had I would refer them for perjury if they deny it.

One thread said something about Plame planning on suing the government for blowing her cover...but if it turns out that she had no cover because she'd given an interview with Miller as she (or her co-authors) did research for their book, then it would say quite a bit about what sort of a person she is...and given the liar her husband is it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

Hey, Howlin.

I ask that question as well: Why would they "sit out?"

I've always thought conservatives were smarter than the competition. They wouldn't "sit out for spite," would they?

If you 'leak' info about yourself it's not leaking according to the law.

The only way Rove's atty. being the leaker would make any sense whatsoever is if it was the biggest set-up we have ever witnessed. Surely Rove wouldn't hire an idiot to defend him. One who would leak truth from the GJ proceedings. SOOOOOO, the atty. "leaks" bs, watches the press slurp it up, and sits back at this office with Rove, laughing their a**es off at what's REALLY about to happen. This is the only scenario that makes ANY sort of sense. MYGAWD, if that's the case, Rove truly IS the Master of the Universe. All hail Rove!!

This is an unmitigated disaster and could ultimately lead to the impeachment of President Bush.

Golly.

That could lead to civil war.

I HATE that!!!

did that Flavia woman just say something about Fitzgerald having contacted the Italians to seek evidence in his investigation?

Oh, she did? Well, well, that IS what I consider BIG NEWS.

Because Wilson lied about that, too!

MJY, I think that makes FOUR BIG LIES for Wilson just on this thread.

When the commander turns his sword over to the enemy commander, the war is over.

The enemy commander is sitting back and watching the mutiny currently under way.

Watch what they do, not what they say. Look at the edifice that is built on the indefensible Roe v. Wade, much of which Kennedy himself was the author.

Who illegally leaked this shit to the New York Times?

Lawrence O'Donnell said Karl Rove's attorney did!

Tucker Carlson pointed out it sure looks like it came right out of Fitzgerald's office.

If there are indictments, just remember that the entire case is built on a lie told by Joe Wilson: "I went to Niger for Dick Cheney."

I agree with you. But the fact that you and I see it that way will not matter one wit to the MSM. This is what they have wanted since Bush took office. We will see every front page NYT on this story for the next year. Same with MSNBC, ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN. They will mould the minds of Americans. The public has not studied this the way you have. The term 'indictment' will be enough, unless the worm entirely turns. The next 3 years will be unfruitful for the conservative cause. This, if true, will push the country farther to the left, reflexivly. Nixon won 49 states after the Watergate breakin. Remember. The story was doggedly pursued by Woodward/Burnstein. Every reporter on the East Coast want the fame, money, and glory of those two. Blood is in the water and, unless there is some strong pushing back and candor about the left the past 12 or 15 years of our fight will be largely lost. We can say hello to President Clinton. If this report is true, this is bad news.

"Actually, I'm warming up to the idea of actually HAVING a trial.

Let's put everybody under oath and see who lies first."

I agree. Let's have a discovery process, put Wilson and Plame under oath and see to whom that leads, and see who in the CIA hierarchy actually made the decision to select Wilson for that mission to Niger and what instructions he was given. And investigate Wilson's shady business background, involving links to Saudi Arabia and Niger gold mines.

The irony is I'm quoting Anthony Kennedy from the case of Lawrence v. Texas.

The real joke about stare decisis, is which precedent to pick from. IOW it don't mean a thing.
