Rudeness plagues America.
Nearly 70 percent of Americans, according to a recent Associated Press-Ipsos poll, consider people more rude than 20 or 30 years ago. Over the last 20 years, according to two prominent Democratic strategists, Americans engaged in a kind of "great sorting-out" -- staking out hard, well-defined, even intolerant, ideological political camps.
Now it all makes sense -- only one side seems a tad more intolerant than the other.
Take last Friday. After work, I drove to a local watering hole for my customary vodka and cran. A couple of anti-war Democrats and I began talking politics. While I disagreed with their positions, they made sensible, if unpersuasive, arguments. You know the drill: Bush built a case for war on bad intelligence; the cultural complexity of Iraq makes America's "imposition" of a democracy unlikely; the Iraq War now serves as a breeding ground for terrorists; other enemies like Iran and North Korea pose even greater threats to America; etc. But then another man, eavesdropping, decided to join in. Within five seconds, he called the president "an idiot." I let it go. Moments later, however, he changed it to "moron." All right, enough.

Excellent article.
Larry Elder is terrific. Such common sense. Wish I could get his show here.
I,ve also had this type of run in with liberals. They spew pure lies about almost anything you can imagine. Whether it's about taxes, education spending, school luches, S.S. reform, Rx drug benefit etc. They are so ill informed it's scary.
bttt
My liberal sister does this all the time. She'll attack my political views and then get angry with me when I back her into a corner with facts. Usually, the conversation ends very abruptly.
I see you wrote it yourself!.........
Facts and reality are to a liberal what crosses and sunlight are to a vampire.
I live in the Peoples Republic of Oak Park, IL (right next to Chicago). I live around and deal with people like this all of the time - they "hate" Bush and will let you know within 5 minutes of meeting them.
Childish losers.
I've followed Larry since the first time Dennis Prager had him on his show as a guest. He is one of the giants of talk radio.
Sounds like an oxymoron.
Larry Elders writes beautifully.
Don't you just love it when confronted with facts, these brainless parrots say, "well that's just your opinion." Arghhh! ... and Kuddos to Larry Elder.
comparing Dems to brainless parrots is an insult to parrots..:)
Of course that doesn't prevent them from spewing their viewpoint at every opportunity. Even when presented with facts, statistics, and truth some (most) still stick like glue to the DNC talking points. If they "heard" it somewhere (e.g., "Today" or CNN or Michael Moore or DU), it must be true.
"They are so ill informed it's scary."
They are so stupid its scary, because they live in denial even after you present the facts to them. I getting outright sick and tired of their boorish, childish, behavior too. I've had to threaten a few with severe bodily harm who have gotten in my face. They back down pretty quick too. If they keep pushing it I'm going to send one away picking up their teeth off the floor.
Parrots aren't brainless, Dems are. There is nothing but moths in their heads.
True, but I'm hoping that if my sister keeps starting these discussions with me that she'll think about what I've said and reevaluate her opinions.
