well it's good to see the miers foot soldiers have adopted nearly all the tactics of the left as they bash conservatives.
Way to go!
"well it's good to see the miers foot soldiers have adopted nearly all the tactics of the left as they bash conservatives."
Absolutely. Despicable.
Ive taken a wait and see attitude about Miers but Ive noticed that "far right" is now spit out with the same hatred as is normal for the DU.
Interesting, isn't it? Instead of coming out to defend their nominee, the Bush administration instead chose to come out and attack the very people who put him in office. Even more ironic is the fact that while making accusations of elitism, the Bush administration is demonstrating elitism itself by being aghast that they be questioned on their choice.
More like the anti-miers foot soldiers!
I'm far right and I am all for Dubya's decision to appoint Miers!
But then again being "far" right nowadays means being off the scale since as far as political rhetoric goes in the MSM the "far" left doesn't exist. Thus, one is either moderate or "off scale" far right.
It's all perspective.
I think there's a reason for that. Our president is a tax-and-spend liberal, and the reaction of his loyal subjects to the appointment of his crony has angered him enough that the mask came off.
Okay, I was on the fence at first, but the more this goes on, the more I am opposed. I've voted by absentee ballot twice for Bush and have supported him. But it's very insulting to be labeled by the administration as a fringe kook for having doubts about this nominee.
One of the things I appreciated about Roberts (aside from his brilliance) was his obvious love of the law and respect for the nation's highest court. Pardon me if my shared respect for the Supreme Court makes me want the best people there.
And by the way, one of the great things about the U.S. is the fact that the people do have a say (via their elected representatives) in who sits on this court. In Canada, the prime minister can nominate anyone he wants and there is nothing the people can do about it.
