Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
Your girls are blessed to have you for a mother.
We need more like you.
Now you know why I was ranting on the TM thread, I wanted the whole world to hear what I did.
I will pray for a special blessing for Michael Savage for having Congressman Weldon on his show, several times.
Savage said that he had an urge to check up on what was happening with Congressman Weldon and Able Danger, had his 'guys' call the Congressman and then had him on the show, only minutes before he went on the floor.
WOW!
WHEN would Bush's Administration MADE MISTAKES re: Able Danger...it was disbanded before he was POTUS, wasn't it?
Instapundit has it now.

Thanks so much! I'll also send some fiery e-mails. They replay stupid RATS complaints day and night........This information must start to get out there!
When I say 'W' I mean the POTUS.
Savage did have the story on before anyone and I remember the next day Tony had him on and then Hannity had him on as a 'first'.
Then Savage cooled on it and I think even doubted it as I remember and when Weldon and Shafer stuck to their guns Savage got back on it.
That's what I remember and I know that other talk shows really don't take this seriously.
The transcript will get posted to a new thread. And this thread will be crossed referenced in.
:)
good idea, count me in.....
No one in any ranking position --that certainly leaves out Clarke-- gave any warning to the incoming administration. We can safely assume that Bush shared the conventional wisdom, because he had been told nothing different. The focus in the Pentagon seemed to be on China.
I should have known y'all had it under control!
:-)
Benjamin Powell???
The person at DoD would have been arrested.
Yes
Captain Ed has it too:

Got it! Thanks!
thanks! Done!
Thank you....I have been wondering HOW President Bush could possibly be blamed for anything surrounding Able Danger when it was doing its work...and when it was disbanded.
Plus, IF there is a cover-up...it HAS to be someone that is a holdover from the Clinton Administration that didn't want this out...not Bush's.

Publicly.
And if you think there was no classified information around that was briefed...
Well, if you think our people are that naive, we would all have been speaking German LONG ago.
Yes .. that is what I understand
It is a great group effort here at FR.
