For national government reasons, this case should be expedited. It shouldn't linger around for anyone's political advantage.

I sincerely hope DeLay is mounting a huge offense against this rat prosecutor. This guy belongs "under" the jail. In the future there is only one way these guys will stop this nonsense and that if they have a penalty to pay. DeLay needs to sue this guys ass off. This is a true outrage.

This travesty is a moonbat coup. If the Texas Constitution allows it, Governor Perry should issue a full pardon for Delay now. He should then have Earle arrested for abusing his office.

Honestly, Earle and his thugs are fooling themselves if they believe this will have long-term benefits for their party. The "party of corruption" tactic won't work because no one beyond a minority of party faithful truly believes that the Left is....WITHOUT corruption.
The "party of corruption" approach only works if you are perceived as being without blemish. IMO, this ugly stunt will have little to no effect.
OTOH, Earle has apparently no idea what he has started.

There is absolutely no such thing as Congressional immunity from criminal charges in our Constitution. There is, rather, a provision that they cannot be arrested on the floor of the House or Senate while those houses are in session. It amazes me how many Freepers are disregarding that language to claim that some kind of absurd immunity exists in the Constitution. If that were the case, no Congressmen would ever have had to face charges for corruption. And that is most certainly NOT the case, as anyone who has ever read the paper should recall (James Traficant, anyone?)

Sometimes a figure (person, character) goes through a personal trial but in the end they become more powerful. Figures such as Azlan (Narnia), Obi-Wan Kenobi (Star Wars) come to mind.
I don't think the Dems know what to do and they are grasping at straws. I've read the motion to quash at Powerline. The best the Dems can do is a mug shot and it will be used against them (if they do this to Tom DeLay, what will they do to you, Mr. and Mrs. Citizen of Texas?)

I'm depressed. Delay was indicted (although the charges will be thrown out), Frist is under investigation and Rove and/or Libby might indicted next week. Bush's poll numbers are the lowest of of presidency, the MSM is completely ignoring the fact that the Iraqi people (by large numbers) voted for their Constitution and Miers' nomination was, for the most part, a huge letdown (we all wanted a fight with Schumer, Leahy, Kennedy, BIDEN, Feinstein, etc...). I need some good news.

I believe it is time for a tax audit on the judge and the prosecutor. It worked for the Clinton's, it ought to work for Delay.

Earle must've worked like crazy to get this going on Saddam Hussein's first trial day. I suspect Wilma is dampening the effect Earle wanted to make, though.
