Amanpour is one of the most disgusting mugs on TV. When she is 80 she is going to look worse than Helen Thomas.

I couldn't sleep last nite. When BBC radio said the trial had started, I turned on the tv and watched Hussain argue that he wasn't going to give his name to the court.

The man didn't look frail, I think his hair was dyed (tho his beard wasn't), and he kept up quite the conversaton w/the judge.

Amanpour = shill for thugs, murderers, terrorists, and dictators.

She'd be on her knees in front of Stalin, Mao, or Hitler (if they weren't conveniently dead).

This woman is dispicable. She hates the U.S. and this President. Everything American is inferior in her opinion (except, perhaps, her schill husband and their child).

Husband James P. Rubin is the State Department spokesman. [1999]

Prior to his Presidential appointment as Assistant Secretary, Mr. Rubin served as a Senior Adviser to the Secretary of State. From August to November 1996, Mr. Rubin was Director of Foreign Policy and Spokesman for the Clinton/Gore '96 Campaign. From May 1993 until his arrival at the Clinton/Gore Campaign, Mr. Rubin served as Senior Adviser and Spokesman for U.S. Representative to the United Nations, Madeleine K. Albright. He assisted Ambassador Albright in formulating and articulating U.S. policy pursued at the United Nations. He also advised the Ambassador on national security related to her role as a member of President Clinton's Cabinet and the National Security Council. Before joining Ambassador Albright's staff, Mr. Rubin served as a Professional Staff Member on the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and Senior Foreign Policy Adviser to Senator Joseph R. Biden, Jr. (D-DE). While working in the Senate, he advised Senator Biden and other Committee members on U.S. policy toward Europe and the former Soviet Union, the Middle East, China, and on global arms proliferation issues. This explains a lot.

She would be crying if she would of had to spend even 1 day living under the rule of Saddam Hussein's Iraq.

Liberal idiots like this should be forced to live under such regimes before they flap their ignorant gums.

Amanpour went brain dead a long time ago. I don't pay any more attention to her than I do Rather or any of the rest of the newsreaders. None are to be trusted to tell the truth.

She is even worse looking in person. My old office used to be in the same building as the CNN Washington Bureau. Seeing the CNNistas was like watching a freak show (Bill Schneider has the worst shoes in Washington).

I don't see how Saddam can use the defense that he is the elected leader of Iraq and not recognize the court or the laws. He obtained power via a coup, he disregarded the existing laws (based on the British system that was in place when he took over) and there has been a legitimate Iraqi election. He is NOT the President of Iraq as he claims. The only election that ever took place in Iraq had a forced outcome and anyone caught voting against him was summarily executed.
