Just out of curiousity, has a V.P., other than Agnew, ever resigned?
To: boomop1
This sounds like it is a planted story so someone can do a poll ala Bubba.....Cheny and Bush have to much character to pull a high school stunt like this.

Sorry, this is the first I've heard of this. I was out playing golf while the sky was falling.

This reminds me of the 04 election, with Cheney resign rumors about every month. Who can respect the morons that promote this sillyness.

Between now and the official 08 electoral cycle, we'll see allot of dead-horse beatin'.
It will get worse before it gets better.

Well, how dumb a plan would that be?!
Good grief! If they want Condi as VP, they can have Cheney resign for health reasons any day they choose. They don't need to have Cheney leave in disgrace.
Get a grip!

"Some observers are whispering that the driving force behind the Rice-for-Cheney scenario is political pundit Dick Morris new book "Condi vs. Hillary: The Next Great Presidential Race."Some observers...." probably means Dick Morris and his editor. Like Cheney's going to pay a whole lot of attention to what the toe-sucker says...(Not)

As much as I love Cheney, this would be welcome news. Condi as an incumbent VP running for president would be unbeatable!!

Fat chance that'll happen.
Cheneny is NO pushover. He will stand his ground and grind them up like mincemeat with a smile on his face and they won't know what hit them. It'll go right over their pointed, empty, heads.
Rice has made it VERY clear that she is NOT interested in running for President and like the position she has NOW.

Take a deep breath people!
Britt Hume put the Nail in the coffin of this little rumor yesterday on "Special Report". He gave the background and then reported that the rumor caused "Gales" of laughter in the White House!
Gist of story, totaly bogus rumor.
