Many FReepers have feared the day when US soldiers are no longer going to be able to travel outside the US without risk of being prosecuted. It seems that day is coming closer.

Frankly, I'm sick and tired of this misplaced idea that "the press" is some sort of sanctified, protected class.

It's a business, however there are constitutional protections against government meddling in that business.

But because someone's a "member of the press," they have no rights or protections greater than any other citizen.

And any citizen who's stupid enough to plant themselves in the middle of a war zone, and claim that they're neutral had better be prepared for the consequences.

Frankly, I have no problems at all with reporters being shot and killed in a war zone, given their "neutrality."

The sad thing is that they claim the protections granted by the military that they demean.

Mark

Just a reminder, Kerry & Clinton both supported our entry into the World Court. What a fiasco that would be.

A Spanish judge has issued an international arrest order for three US soldiers whose tank fired at a Baghdad hotel during the war in Iraq, killing a Spanish journalist, a court official said Wednesday.

Hey Spain! You want those soldiers?

Wonder if this moronic "judge" would like it if we responded to his request with a B-52 bombardment of his courthouse.

Our tanks have a crew of four. Wonder where the fourth guy was, or why he was left off the indictment.

Cancel all SDI work immediately. Begin development on a system that shoots down projectiles that may threaten idiotic journalists.

Rubbish. We will take the War for Judeo-Christian/Human Civilization to Soain before that will happen!

And, on the subject of the gutlessly terrorist-appeasing EUro/Spanish socialists:

With what part, Spain, of "You are either with and of US or you are with and of the [Islamanazis]," are you having most difficulty?

Another E.U. socialist bench warmer attempting to play Anti-American big shot.

Our troops were and are engaged in a war against terrorists.

Spain's former leader was loyal ally, the appeaser in office now is not.

I say we send the soilders to Spain... with their tank... and the rest of their division. Never mind, I'm getting carried away. A brigade should be plenty.
