President Bush said yesterday that his goal is eventually to expel "every single" illegal alien from the United States as his administration pressed Congress to pass a guest-worker program.
Although conceding that the administration cannot immediately deport the estimated 11 million illegal aliens who are here, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and Labor Secretary Elaine L. Chao told Congress that a temporary-worker program would give aliens an incentive to come out of hiding and let them work legally for six years before being forced to return home.

How 'bout, President Bush sprints across the border into Mexico and attempts to stay there illegally for six years.
How 'bout five hundred illegal aliens jump the White House fence and camp out on the lawn for six years doing landscaping and maid/valet work Americans won't do.
No, Mr. President, your "guest worker program" infers that these eleven million invaders were invited which is decidedly not true.
Your "solution" is to call a pig a horse and order us to fetch the saddle.
Right after they rescind the old laws that make them illegal in the first place.... Or make up some new law giving them amnesty (or any other name that still means amnesty but sounds better to the ignorant masses.)
The people will lead and the leaders will follow!
Good grief!
These people think we are stupid to the bone.
"If we give then six years then why not 10 or 20 or hell" - Unfortunatelly as of right now the most likely scenario is that in 6 years we could be in the Hillary Presidency, and who believes she would send anyone back. As a matter of fact who believes Bush would turn anyone back, he hasn't so far and it's only his second term.
No one is going home after 6 years!
LOL! The illegals must be rolling around their floors laughing.
Duh-bya: Yeah, Uncle Karl?
Rove: Could you turn off Barney and come over here please?
Duh-bya: Sure uncle karl...
Rove: This Harriet Meirs fiasco is blowing up in our faces as we speak. I have a way to fix it. But of course I need to inform you first
Duh-bya: What's the plan?
Rove: Well, the Conservative Christian losers aren't falling for our patronization plan regarding Meirs, so I'm thinking of getting Chertoff to pull a "tough guy" statement regrding immigration.
Duh-bya: But wont that make Master Fox mad?
Rove: Don't wory, we told him it's a ruse to get those schmucks that make up our "base" on our side again
Duh-bya: I'll do it on one condition:
Rove: OK, what is it?
Duh-bya: I skip the policy briefing, so I can go running and listen to the new Lion King soundtrack on my Ipod.
Rove: Anything you say, Georgie... Anything you say! If only dealing with Schumer was as easy!!!
Did you come up with that one yourself, or did Al Franken help you?
Well, the pubbies obviously believe that anyone here illegally will stop being here illegally once we give them a free ride for six years.
Si, madre. Gringos muy loco in la cabasa.
Did W drop a tab when he made this statement?
Isn't this Bush fella the same guy who also said Harriet Miers is the most qualified person to sit on the Supreme Court? Is he off his meds or something?

Oh yeah, good luck finding them when their 6 years is up. That's just punting the problem to some future administration that will just punt it to the next one. Let's see some long overdue action on this issue and less political maneuvering.
I guess it's progress that he's even talking about sending somebody home, that's a first.
And he intends to start when? Does this confirm he has started drinking again?
I think we all know the real solution is to shut down the borders to keep new ones from coming in. We all know the political reality of shipping these people back to Mexico: none. Although a program might exist to ship criminal illegals out of here.
Here's an idea: We make welfare a workers program instead of an endless entitlements program and ship all those who haven't found work to the farms across the country and have them work there.
Relax. I just think it is a little strange that out of the blue, the very same people most miffed about the Meirs nomination are simultaneously getting what amounts to lip service from the Administration.
Thanks. Much obliged. :o)
Is that new?
I released that one on the 10th. I've done a couple since. You can always see the latest at Sacred Cow Burgers or on my FR Home Page.
I'd be happy if he would just shut the door on new ones!!
