beneficence \buh-NEFF-i-suhns\, noun: The practice of doing good; active goodness, kindness, or charity; bounty springing from purity and goodness
From my grandfather Verus I learned good morals and the government of my temper. From the reputation and remembrance of my father, modesty and a manly character. From my mother, piety and beneficence and abstinence. --Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

On this Day in History
1781 British General Lord Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown, effectively bringing an end to the American Revolution. Pleading illness, Cornwallis did not attend the surrender ceremony; his second-in-command, General Charles O'Hara, carried Cornwallis' sword to the American and French commanders. As the British troops marched out to surrender, the British bands played the song "The World Turned Upside Down."

We went for a walk tonight, and almost needed long sleeves. It's starting to cool down a bit more, yeah.
Nana's chest is feeling much better, it looks like her bout with the asthma is subsiding.
Looked at another house today...I find myself wondering how it is that people expect to get outrageous prices for their homes without putting any effort into making them 'show ready'?
First room I checked, there was a cracked and shattered outlet cover on the wall...for crying out loud, $1.49 at Wal-Mart!!! That wouldn't have been so bad if it weren't for the moldy scungy shower stall...yuck.

Blech! After all the hard work you put into getting yours looking beautiful, it is just a shame that other people aren't doing the same for you!
Glad that the asthma is going away. I sure hope it was just a fluke and won't happen any more.
That long-sleeve weather is nice, isn't it, after the summer we've had?

Beachy, can you believe this beautiful weather here in the DC/Virginia area?
Did you find an excuse to leave the office early?
It's just like Spring!
Important Notice: The Powerball Jackpot is $340 million. That is enough to buy a really excellent beach house.
