From my grandfather Verus I learned good morals and the government of my temper. From the reputation and remembrance of my father, modesty and a manly character. From my mother, piety and beneficence and abstinence. --Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

On this Day in History
1781 British General Lord Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown, effectively bringing an end to the American Revolution. Pleading illness, Cornwallis did not attend the surrender ceremony; his second-in-command, General Charles O'Hara, carried Cornwallis' sword to the American and French commanders. As the British troops marched out to surrender, the British bands played the song "The World Turned Upside Down."

They loved it! Got compliments from one councilman who sits on the airport commission on how clean we left the area, his words "The Scouts left the area cleaner than what found it." The council was in awe that we had 150+ Scouts and adults in attendance.

Good job! It all starts with the preplanning and then the execution and the boys themselves and how they've been taught. A pat on the back for you.
