I'd be demanding a change in venue. This judge is a leftist in the extreme.

Good find. Let's see if this gets any MSM attention (as if :-/).

Can you use an insanity defense when it's the Judge that's nuts?

Delay's mug shot will be leaked and used in DNC/moveon.org "culture of corruption" TV ads for the next five years. This is a moonbat coup.

They don't call Austin the Blue Anus of Texas for nothing. Every official is a brain-dead Democrat elected with the help of the local rag, the Austin UnAmerican Statesman. It is disgusting that this most un-Texan of places should sit in judgement over every politician in Texas. That needs to be changed by a constitutional amendment in '06. Are you listening Craddick and Dewhurst and Perry? I don't hear a peep from our Republican state officials and that should sicken the 62% of Texans who vote straight-ticket Republican.

According to my math...he donated more than a grand in a calander year...
Sup with that?

If this is successful for the Democrats, Republicans should do the same thing in areas where they are strong. Time to play hardball!

Judge should recuse himself...
It's a conflict of interest. The perception is there.

I'd say the Judge should recuse himself. It's obvious he's got a dog in the hunt.

This Jerk, excuse me Judge, no make that JERK, probably contributed to moveon.org on 9/11 to send out the signal at how much he is against Republicans and insure he gets the case against Delay.
That's how these politically biased judges, I mean JERKS operate. Texas for a long time was controlled by democrats and they are still deeply rooted in the so-called justice system.

This is the judge that married my wife and I. He also married my sister and her husband. Both of our families are as conservative as they get. These weddings were about ten years ago.
Judge Perkins did not appear to us as a reactionary or leftist scumbag or enemy within that some are saying. He appeared to us to be an old-time LBJ Democrat, as are/were most of the old timers in central Texas. I think he ran for Texas Supreme Court at one point, but lost.
Of course, this doesn't mean he doesn't have it out for DeLay - he did donate to Move-On. But hopefully it'll add some perspective.
