Hi, tulip:

I can get along well with a Pasta Day
Spaghetti, Ravioli, Lasagna; they're all okay
Carbs, Proteins and Vitamins all on one plate
Though they are the bane of white shirts far and wide
As they twist or drip from both fork and spoon

Some might say that I'm quite the Couture Loon
My sense of style may make the less timid swoon
If I were to ceremoniously arrive and dine

You may ask, though I may not tell you why
I prefer to dine al dente in a loud Hawaiian shirt
And campy, narrow, hand painted silk tie!

Black Poetry Day?

Black

The fabric of the Universe,
Is strong, and soft, and light,
And softly setting off the face,
Are diadems of night.

The swirls of constellations,
And patterns that it has,
Of diamond, ruby, precious stones,
Offset by bright topaz.

The universe is beautiful,
No color does it lack.
The fabric’s softly stated,
It’s done in basic black.

Checked this out:

gaudy day - Collaborative International Dictionary of English v.0.48 :

Gaudy \Gaud"y\, n.
A feast or festival; -- called also gaud-day and gaudy day
. [Oxford Univ.] --Conybeare.
[1913 Webster]

================================

We're supposed to celebrate with a Finest Feast, maybe,
as in ?

Or like this one - - ??

Sheesh - guess I'd better shuffle back to the kitchen and get busy..:(
although I hate to cook..sigh)

Wait! I can call a caterer, and bill it to Billie!!!
