TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Police used tear gas to break up a rock-throwing crowd that had gathered to protest a planned march Saturday by the National Socialist Movement.
At least two dozen members of a Roanoke, Va.-based group that calls itself "America's Nazi Party" had gathered at Wilson Park just before noon and were to march under police protection.

I hate nazis but I have no love for the looting trash.
The Nazis were escorted out of town early on. The march never happened. The minute the trouble began the cops got the Nazis out.
Don't forget jury verdicts. They seem to stir up violence, rioting and burning too.
Has anyone figured out how to use our greater leg strength yet? Nope.
I've got a few bags of cracked pecans in my freezer that prove otherwise.
I have been in Toledo during riots and they handled them well. This isn't something new.

FNC had a guy that is a city council member on the phone. He acted like it was no big deal, he didn't see anything, it was only a few people throwing rocks and stuff. He didn't have a clue what was going on, and he acted like the cops had everything under control and that there are no problems like this there, etc. etc....a total whitewash of the entire thing. Was kind of funny cause the commentator is sitting there looking at the pictures and trying to get the guy to realize what we are all looking at...LOL.
I used to think the Nazis should get beaten up. But now, unless they are openly calling for violence in the sense of being a "clear and present danger," I think the should be ignored or laughed at. They are certainly loons. (This NSM group, also, almost seem to be re-enactors or creative fantasists, with their fancy uniforms and stylized flag, and I'm not sure if that makes them any more or less sinister or not.) Regardless, they should be in therapy.
These rioters, on the other hand, need to be dealt with ruthlessly.
FOX just said they're expecting a news conf in Toledo shortly..will cover it when it happens.

That's their out. Bottom line: what did the nazi protesters DO and what did the black group 'protesting' the nazi's DO. There is no excuse for the looting and crime.. NONE.

This reminds me of a long post I wrote way back in may about the town of Portsmouth, VA which is a city where the downtown "transitioned" years ago.

This has been going on since the 60's. There was a riot in 67 on Dorr street. I drove down Dorr 2 days later and you'd never know anything had happened. The neighborhood was quiet. This is nothing new there.
