Seems like "the system" is self-corrupting. He may have been a clean appointment for President Reagan at the time but years of inside and behind the scenes wrangling has made him unfit for the seat.

Removal is in order.

So she can shell out enough money for the abortion... but not enough money to get to the clinic?

I am opposed to abortion but if the issue is funding maybe the father of the child could be tapped for the cab fare.

This assumes the loving mother can identify the father.

"Well as long as the official (SCOTUS) view of the unborn child is "tissue" then it makes for an inexorable logic that this is a valid health care issue for the mother."

Except it's elective, and not medically necessary.

"I think the original idea of prison is that you do lose some rights!"

Maybe you only lose the rights that are actually IN the Constitution, not the ones conjured up by the liberal courts.

enough money left over for a lawyer advocate

Don't you remember your Adam-12? "If you cannot afford an attorney one will be appointed for you."

When I gave blood this month, the new question was "Have you been in prison for 72 hours or more?" If so, no can give. The implication is that an additional penalty tacked on to any prison sentence of more than three days is rape, homosexual or other. Even aside from the public health aspect of this, it seems a little harsh!

I agree that the man's rights should be equal to the woman's rights, but neither of them should have the right to deny the baby's rights.

Odd that so many black babies are disenfranchised (by clueless black people) because of stare decisis

Exactly, the deliberate and targeted murder of more than fifteen million babies of African ancestry through abortion may be the single largest racist genocide the world has ever known.

You got that right. Of course some people don't consider it a baby yet. If that's the case why are the little tiny feet and hands in the "medical waste" of abortion clinics?

Guns don't kill people, abortion clinics do.

both instances you provided hold the general meaning "murder, slay, kill"

Contrast this with the levitical "Put to death" (say Lev 20:12 for example).

The use of "murder" in place of "kill" in Ex 20:13 and Mt 5:21-22 would be a translation far more consistent with the rest of the bible (and still holds true to the original words)

Cant' vote in Federal elections, can't own a gun......

How about just having inmates sign a waiver if they wan't to have visitation, no abortion allowed.

Imagine the media outcry if it was reversed and the State REQUIRED inmates to have abortions as wards of the State!

We don't want them to have abortions, and we don't realy want them to reproduce.......

You're right, there is no "right" to abortion, just the right to privacy requiring the gov't to stay out of it. Anyone?

And if Roe vs Wade had not made it so easy, those millions of babies would have made the Social Security system solvent by joining the workforce!

Thomas thought about it some more and agreed with the rest of the justices to reinstate the lower court's ruling:

The Supreme Court (search) cleared the way Monday for a Missouri prison inmate to terminate her pregnancy.

Although the high court made no sweeping rendering on the constitutionality of the Roe v. Wade (search) ruling ensuring a woman's constitutional right to an abortion, it effectively enforced a lower court ruling that Missouri Department of Corrections must provide transportation for the woman to have the procedure by refusing to hear an appeal. It was unclear how soon the abortion would be carried out.

Late Friday, Justice Clarence Thomas (search) had granted a temporary stay to the state, which prevented the woman from having an abortion on Saturday. But Monday's high court action was unanimous.

How much can transportation cost? Is it a matter of cab fare or does she have to foot the bill for a secured prison transport vehicle + prison guards?
