Please try to calm down af_vet_1981 :). I understand you are angry, but we're a big tent, and we can all try to be civil even if we disagree. It's what separates us from the animals, oh and the DU folk :-D

I despise traitors while our men (and women) are being killed overseas. I just despise them.

It's actually because of the overseas issue that I won't be too vocal about my unease with Ms. Miers. And another reason I won't stay at home for midterm elections (not that it matters in Mexifornia). I don't want Democrats elected who will jeapordise the mission. I have faith in my fellow conservatives that even after this division they will remember Iraq and Afghanistan and pull together again. We can be thankful to GW that Reinquest wasn't replaced with a Ginsburg at the very least.

Do you remotely understand what exactly our troops are being killed overseas for? Little things like freedom of expression, government by the people, state policy open to debate and criticism. Comments like these only make a mockery of their mission. One ought to be ashamed for impugning the motives of well intentioned people as "traitors" because you have a domestic policy disagreement with them, that has no relation to the war or the national effort in it whatsoever.
