Any one else fed up, burned out, etc? I am just about at the end of my rope with all the DC nonsense.

Like, what the heck does it have to do with us in "fly-over-land?

I am really tired, and wish these idiots we elected would gather some common sense, but am not about to hold my breath. They are mesmerised by the DC snakes, and the heck with us lowly tax-payers.

How do we grab these fools by the short-hairs, and get them to recognize that without us they are "nothing".

Heading for sleep now, am tired and sick to death by the DC crapola. Somehow, someway, we have to send these people we elected that we just can't pay out anymore for whoever thinks the stuff ought to be re-distributed.

Am in major cranky mode tonight. A broken rib is probably part of it.

We've got a country to save.

Bump that. There's way too many ebbs and flows in politics. Things are bumpy right now, but it's over a year until the next general election and over THREE years until the next Presidential election. That's eons in politics.

Hi jacquej-

You've been on FR since 1997 and you still chose to post something inane like this? Stick to existing threads...

Ok, if ya really want the gory details on the broken ribs... I just tripped over the hearth on my way to bed, after turning out all the lights in the house. Al Gore had nothing to do with it, and neither did anyone in DC, but if we wanna talk "disaster", and FEMA, where is my "pay-out".

Because, broken ribs really hurt. There isn't any thing you can do for them, except for "suck it down, and drive on". Kinda like a flood, really. How come I can't claim "disaster-status"?

So, I cast a pained glance over what is going on in DC, and I wonder about it all. Can anyone see how "Alice-In-Wonderland" it all is?

I joined this board/forum when Clinton was undermining all we thought dear and valuable in our elections, and we got this snake-oil arshwhole.

I held out great hopes for the Bush 2 Admin., but am slowly losing it, and feel like crawling into my closet, muttering softly to myself. I can't figure out why GWHB aligns with the twisted pencil-dick , and can't figure out why Bush 2 doesn't call Clinton out as being a total scoundrel. Like, can someone explain why to me?

The broken ribs are on the right side, and for whatever it is worth, Aleve works the best. Lying down is the hardest. And sitting at the keyboard is the easiest. You have to train your dogs not to bark, or "nudge" you, when they see a varmint or stranger, and it is really a good idea to disconnect anything that might set them off, like a smoke alarm.

So, dear Freeper Friends, my broken ribs are hurting, but consider this doomer message to all of you. If the Republicans do not have the stones to take down the dems, we are truly lost.

hate to say that, but it might be the ugly truth. My biggest beef with the Bushes is that they haven't figured out how to nail the Clintons and their crony-ilks.

Any of you have an idea why they haven't? Any of you have a clue as to why the Pubs are so hesitant? It is really bothering me, big-time!

Us middle-class taxpayers are paying close to 40% of all we earn into gov spending, and all the "yapper Dem heads" say that it isn't enough, and we keep electing people who couldn't keep a regular day job to demand more from us?

And, we just sit here on FR and gripe, right? What good does that do? I am about to just pack it in, because I am so disappointed in the republicans, and figure all is truly lost.

Hey, Blue Jays, get a clue. I have been here a long time, but that doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. I am allowed to post inane stuff, just like anyone else.

I am fed up with the Bush family giving face time to WJ Clinton. When ya have a broken rib, your tolerance for such "graciousness" is really strained.

I usually post to existing threads, but somehow tonight I felt moved to do a "vanity" post. Probably because of the "news" coverage, but also because I am fed up with the whitewash of the Clintons, and the media yammer about Hillary as Pres in 2008, and my busted ribs are really making me crankier than usual.

So, here I sit with broken ribs, and I have to contemplate Hillary as President in 2008? That is just too much to take, really.

Think I will go crawl in bed. And will do my best to stick to existing threads so I can make you a happy camper, Blue Jays.

Hi jacquej-

It's funny, I had pressed the "Report Abuse" button on my own post# 23 above and asked for it to be deleted because I felt bad for you after considering you've been here for eight years and all.

Now that I see that you're actually proud about posting bandwidth-wasting material, I'm somewhat sorry my earlier post will eventually be removed by moderators at my own request.

Well, good luck with the ribs...

A friend broke a couple of ribs a while back and his doc wouldn't even take an Xray. Just recommended rest and pain meds. I finally had to put a rib binder on him so he could get some sleep. He swore it really got the ribs to start healing and decreased the pain.

It used to be a standard first aid treatment.

The cozying up to Bubba is sickening IMO! I think a lot of us conservatives are disappointed in what was supposed to be Bush2's finest hour!

What is really going on?????

phewwwweeeee.

got it.

fractured one of mine many years ago. bought a sailboat. first time out with my friend who knew almost nothing, but was my mentor. 35' swedish sloop. engine ("atomic 4") failed and we were slatting about out in the santa barbara channel. i was standing on the top rung of the companionway ladder when Jake followed my instructions to lower the sail. why? did he also decide to drop the topping lift too? the boom hit me on the sholder and drove my side into the metal rail that the hatch rode on. Ouch. took my breath away. so we sat for about 10 hours until the little pre dawn breeze allowed us to "ghost" into ventura harbor. i do not need to dwell on the misery i endured for those many hours as we banged to and fro in a 4 foot swell with not a hint of a breeze.

the next time out, we lifted the engine out of the bilge with a tackle on the boom, and dropped it over the side. i sailed that boat the next 5 years with no engine and actually learned a little about seamanship.

/////////////

there is no one at the helm of this country. or so it seems sometimes. like my boat, it needs to drop the engine and learn some seamanship. Bush II is lost in the fog. The Dems told me so. but here is something i believe

this is the best of all the rest, and we will muddle thru, and find safe harbor. the course is not clear. and we will not arrive where we thought we were going. but that's ok, because we didn't really make the right choice of destination in the first place.

it always looks bad when you are in the soup. but we will get out. the storm will end. the only ones who will be left behind are the ones who mutiny...
