Any one else fed up, burned out, etc? I am just about at the end of my rope with all the DC nonsense.

Like, what the heck does it have to do with us in "fly-over-land?

I am really tired, and wish these idiots we elected would gather some common sense, but am not about to hold my breath. They are mesmerised by the DC snakes, and the heck with us lowly tax-payers.

How do we grab these fools by the short-hairs, and get them to recognize that without us they are "nothing".

Heading for sleep now, am tired and sick to death by the DC crapola. Somehow, someway, we have to send these people we elected that we just can't pay out anymore for whoever thinks the stuff ought to be re-distributed.

Am in major cranky mode tonight. A broken rib is probably part of it.

Hell, the fight has barely begun. Take a couple days to heal that rib, then jump right back in there. We've got a country to save.

That's the great thing with our two party big tent political system, no one gets quite what they want and everyone is grumpy! The worst part is when special interest groups end up with wildly disproportionate power and force results against the interests of the citizenry. Hope your broken rib feels better soon.

Jim, I know, but I am really hurting.

I have been here for a long time, and walk the walk. But I am losing hope. It seems that we are losing the battles. I feel that it is time to hunker down. I appreciate all the you have done, but I am truly discouraged.

I am not going to change my beliefs, nor my voting. But ribs do not heal that fast, and neither do broken hearts. My heart is broken along with ribs, because no-one we have elected seems to pay a whole lot of attention to the basics.

Therefore, I grieve.

DC "ribs" you the wrong way, eh?

Of course it does. It "ribs" all of us.

Vote. That's part of the solution, I know you know that.

Kidding aside, give your ribs a few weeks to feel better, six weeks in all, it'll heal completly.

'Bout the only thing you can do is take happy pills to make the pain go away, or a happy drink, rib belt...and that's about it.

Been there, done that. Take care. :)

There are good guys out there. What we need to do is promote them and find more. I've said before that congressional term limits would have done wonders...but I digress...

Here's some of the good guys, people who seem to put principle over politics

In Congress...
Mike Pence (R-IN)
Tom Tancredo (R-CO)
Ron Paul (R-TX)

In the Senate...
Tom Coburn (R-OK)
Jim DeMint (R-SC)

There's more...but I'm tired...

Yes, I've said it before!!!

I am considering a run for the Ohio or US House in the next 5 years. I have no major baggage, I'm definitely a conservative, I'm 28 years old, and while I'm not as charismatic as Ronald Reagan, I do alright.

That's the great thing with our two party big tent political system, no one gets quite what they want and everyone is grumpy!

With all due respect, the politicians, both parties, get what they want, (campaign contributions ensuring re-election and big fat paychecks and pensions) while the people paying the bills get screwed.

Nobody is forcing these egotistical, selfish bastards to do anything. Most of them act in their own self-interest, not for the interest of the country or the people who elected them.

And the 'two party' system is in lock step agreement on two of the most important issues facing our country; illegal immigration and NAFTA/CAFTA.

Whenever I get really fed up, I have to step back and imagine the entire country in as much trouble as the State that I live in. It doesn't cure bad feelings but it helps to get my head back in the game.

Same as you buddy, the aristocrats in D.C. don't shiv a git about us in flyover.

A horse kicked me in the chest back in 1990 and broke three ribs. I drove from the Tenn/Miss stateline to the Wisconsin/Canadian border and back without sleep because I couldn't sleep. If I got the least bit tired I just took a deep breath and awake I was.

But I am losing hope. It seems that we are losing the battles. I feel that it is time to hunker down. I appreciate all the you have done, but I am truly discouraged.

I'm wondering whether the pain from your injury might have you feeling depressed. Take some time off. Rest up and heal up.

Jim is right. We've barely begun, and this struggle is going to outlive us all. The leftists have been advancing and consolidating for a hundred years. Our counter-attack has been going on for fifty, and only really began bearing fruit with the election of Ronaldus Maximus.

It has taken us much additional effort to get where we are at today with the Congress (which may not be as good a position as the raw numbers indicate). And, of course, we need to make some major progress on the Supreme Court. Here we seem to have suffered a setback this month, but even so, we would have had much further to go on the Court even if this last nomination had been a home run.

There are some big trends working in our favor, and some others working against us. So why even guess whether we are advancing on balance at any given moment? We know what our duty is. Let's do it as effectively and as cheerily as we know how, take care of ourselves, our families, and each other, and simply trust in His Truth to guide our cause toward victory.
