I have been boycotting Aruba...

Rolls Royce, Bentley, alpine skiing, piloting and a host of other expensive passtimes and places.

Has any one of these online petitions ever actually achieved its goal?

I can not think of a single one that has.

How about boycotting California until Nicole and Ron's killer is brought to justice?

I've been boycotting Aruba my entire lifetime.

Well, not boycotting it, literally. Just not going there.

Never. Ever.

But since I wasn't going there anyway, it's not like they'd lose much by me boycotting them.

I don't think I can help ya on this one...

My guess would be because of the Natalee Holloway case. She's the 18 year old Alabama teen who went there on a graduation trip with some of her senior class and vanished into thin air. It is presumed that she was abducted and murdered by at least one of three teen boys she was last seen with. From what I've read the Aruban authority did little in trying to find her or resolve this case. There are FReepers here who can give you much more information than I have. Just do a keyword search with Natalee Holloway.

Boycot Washington D.C. until they find Chandra Levy's killer.

LE did their job there. It was the jury who let their killer go free. LE is obstructing the Holloway investigation, probably to protect the dark secrets of Aruba. Huge difference.

"Has any one of these online petitions ever actually achieved its goal? I can not think of a single one that has."

Actually quite a few have, the two that come to mind first had to do with 9/11 memorials being rewritten to fit more with an Anti-American theme then what actually happened.

Yes, we should boycott every country, state or city where people are murdered and the killers are not found or convicted.
