In two appearances before the federal grand jury investigating

Grand Jury testimony is suppose to be confidential. This is a felony if true and most likely another lie. Which smear campaign is this? The one that promised 22 indictments by LAST weekend, or the one claiming three by this weekend? Keep hoping and spinning. I know you cannot deal with the reality that GW will be President until Jan 2009.

So, who's ole Murray's source for all this allegedly factual info ... does the Wilson/Plame attorney get notified of all the inside goings on?

Scooter isn't big enough and the MSM won't be happy unless Rove and/or Cheney are perp-walked.

Did this new "crucial conversation" come out of Miller's "recently discovered" notes? What a surprise. NOT!

Libs have to work very hard . They need to push Saddam's trial out of the headlines. Otherwise, people might remember how nasty Saddam was.

Joe Wilson's Perfidia

Joe took the Islamicists' side,
When he said that the President lied.
Since the Times spread Joe's tale,
Please put them in jail
And, certainly, Joe should be fried

This reminds me of David Kendall, Sidney Bloominthal, and Harald Ickes during Ken Starr's investigation of Clinton. Leaks and rumors of leaks by the Clinton team and the cooperating MSM.

However, it could be a planned Democrat strategy. After monthly accusations of Downing Street memo, Gitmo, Silly Sheehan, and many others, they didn't seem to be getting anywhere. So they switched gears and started this mantra of Culture of Corruption. They had Ronnie Earle indict DeLay and they have turned up the heat on the Rove/Libby investigation, an investigation initiated by the Democrats and the MSM.

Abrams, Miller's lawyer, could easily be lying and unless Tate has files or tapes it will be his word against Abrams'. What Abrams is saying is the key to any indictment. Fitzgerald is a Democrat and they are all the same under the skin. If this is a setup that will explain the mystery of why Miller decided to sit it out for awhile. They will now blame her "suffering" on Libby because Tate supposedly told Abrams that the first waiver was coerced. Fitzgerald saying he assumed that Libby and Tate not reassuring Miller and Abrams meant they didn't want her to testify tells where his loyalties lie.

Wow! That's like the theme of every news story written for the last five years by the MSM. You must be a journalist in disguise, posting on FR. Better include the /sarcasm tag, in case you challenge me to a duel over insulting you by calling you a journalist.

This is not an objective write-up. There are breezes of spin at 3 points in the column, by my count.

Could that play into why she spent time in jail - had to 'find' those notes (have time to 'develop' notes?)

I call it tendentious at every turn of phrase.

This piece is not objective at all, and I would therefore not trust anything it attempts to add to our body of knowledge about the events under consideration.

Miller didn't tell the GJ about the conversation either, until after she got out of jail and suddenly found her notes. What's up with that?
