She didnt say they were, she said it was possible, a little bit of difference there and a misleading title there.

True, it is somewhat misleading. Laura Bush should never have eevn bothered to answer Matt's question. As was stated previously, it was a leading question, not worthy of comment. But she did respond, and no proof to back up what she thought was apparently a possibility.

To even think that conservatives all across America who supported the nomination of women like Janice Rogers Brown and Priscalla Owen might now be sexist is ludicrous.

Parallel to my first thought...possible? Almost anything is "possible".

This reflects on NewsMax as a "news" source, methinks.

The headline was a bit deceptive, but that is not new for NewsMax. The part that bothered me was listing her qualifications as the first woman who did this, the first woman who did that, etc. That is sexist. To say that it is possible that her opponents might be motivated by sexism and then to go on and make a sexist argument in support of her is a little too much for me. Those who support Justice Brown do not do so for gender related reasons.

Yeah...I mean, I'm mad at Bush for this nomination, but Laura Bush did NOT say people opposed are sexist. THe fact that the MSM even asks the question shows a total disingenuousness since THEY know that conservatives would have loved it if Bush had picked several conservative women. They just HAVE to get SEXISM out there....despite the fact that conservatives have NO such qualms about women candidates
