Open challenge to the "Conservative" punditry.

Open Challenge to the "Conservative" Punditry. Stand and Deliver time boys and girls.

OK. Let's forget about your inexcusable conduct towards Miers and deal. The LIBERALS are LAUGHING at you. They cannot believe you are all THIS stupid. They are watching, in stunned disbelief, as YOU do THEIR job in destroying the 1st Republican Majority in 50 years. All you "Conservatives" are all telling us "You can't trust Bush" and "We can win this fight". Well guess what. We have NO proof we can trust you. WHERE is YOUR paper trail?

NONE of you were able to convince the Senate to overturn even 1 Filibuster or get a single piece of legislation passed. So you want us to spit on Bush who HAS a 100% rating on Judicial Appointments and embrace your HOPES that you can win this Judicial fight in the weak kneed Senate? Sorry. NEED to see some proof to validate your claims. Need to see a PAPER TRAIL.

'That's not OUR job' I can hear you all scream. By stabbing Bush in the back, YOU MADE it YOURS.

Here is the deal. Let's have a Contract for Justice. YOU big talking people who are all pissed about Miers go out and get 51 Senators to put in writing, their names on a contract with the Conservative Base. They, the Senators, promise they will: Vote for the "nuclear options" to get rid of this Judicial Filibuster nonsense and provide a list of names of Conservative Establishment Judges all of the 51 Senators on the Contract WILL vote to confirm.

You are all screaming "Trust us we can win" WHAT? You "Conservative" pundits haven't managed to deliver anything. Bush is out every day busting his hump while you all sit on your butts and whine about Bush. You watch a Senate repeatedly betray the Conservative base and SAY NOTHING. You all cannot even get action on Soc Security Reform! THE LARGEST single Govt entitlement is ON THE table and you all are too busy shooting at your own side to get ANY action. So put up or shut up "Conservative pundits". You all claim we should "trust us, we can win this fight".

Sorry SEE NO PAPER TRAIL to suggest we have ANY reason to trust your pronouncements. Put up time. Either GET something done or GET OFF OUR SIDE. See I am going to let you in on the dirty secret. YOU did NOT create US. WE, the little Red State peons, CREATED YOU. WE are the people who buy your books, watch your shows, go to your events, support your causes. YOU exist because WE want you too. However, since the days of Reagan you all have been a bunch of primping geeks whining about everything. 1st time in 50 YEARS we have ALL of it and you all spend your time bitching because life isn't perfect. So Hannity, Levin, Lowry, Buchannan, Kristol, Fund, Ingraham, Coulter, Malkin et al. Throw down. Let's see YOUR paper trail.

You make some excellent points. I'm still waiting for some proof that the Republicans in the Senate have the guts to win a fight, starting with Arlene Spectre, who's the biggest RINO wuss ever, right on through to McCain, who I wouldn't trust as far as I can see him.

The gang that can't shoot straight.
It's too hot for 'em to remain in the sun but much easier to blast from dark shadows, which is exactly where these blasters will wind up again.
Deserved? You bet.

Republicans got Roberts through. What makes you think it cannot be done again? There are conservative candidates that could make it through the process, but we get feed a bunch of coward talk about how it would be impossible to get anyone through the senate, so we just need to accept a non-conservative candidate. I don't buy it. I don't need to get senators to sign a contract. I just vote them out of office if they don't get the job done. That is my contract.

Bush just did not want the hassle of pushing through a conservative and he wanted to throw a bone to one of his staff (he has a history of that--rewarding loyalty with perks). That is what happened. We expect and deserve better, and I don't give a rat's behind whether the liberals are laughing or not. If I based what I do on how the liberals respond to me I would not be a very good conservative.

LOL. The pundit exist only to sell articles and make a buck. They can and do change positions as much as needed to attract a readership.

Conservatives are not destroying the Republican majority. It's doing that to itself by not being conservative. The key thing to understand here is that conservatives don't vote for Republicans simply because they like elephants better than donkeys on the logo. It doesn't matter that David Souter was nominated by a Republican president. What matters is that he judges cases like a liberal. Similarly, it doesn't really matter if the Senate or House or Presidency is Republican if it doesn't change anything or actually makes things worse. And if conservatives get the feeling that it's better in the long run to tear it all down and build it back up than to try to fix what's there, they'll tear it down and, frankly, that makes perfect sense. I'm not personally convinced yet that tearing it all down will make things better and not have a huge cost, but I finding it much easier to understand those conservatives who feel differently.

Buck up, man! Wipe that runny nose, stop your sniveling, and gain control of your emotions. And do something to quiet those knocking knees.

You're way too frightened of the liberals, way too concerned for your reputation with them.

Bush is settling for Miers out of craven weakness. There is no excuse for it. There are at least three world-class nominees that could get confirmed if Bush will stand as firm for the rightness in that cause as he does standing for the rightness on the cause of the War on Terror.

That Bush (and you) would fear Harry Reid and Lindsey Graham more than he (or you) fears bin Laden and Zarqawi is shameful.

First, I am no pundit.
Second I am a conservative voter.
I voted for Bush, mainly to get KNOWN Conservative Justices on the Supream Court.

I am willing to forgive Roberts,
But I didn't elect GW Bush to put his personal lawyer on the court. A lawyer that doesn't have a track record, and a lawyer that Gets High reviews from Democrats.

Sorry but anyone smelling like a rose with Harry Reid isn't someone I want on the Court. If Turbin Durbin comes out in support of her, that would just ice the cake so to speak.

Bush was elected by a majority of conservatives, he supposed to represent us, not himself in regards to judicial nominations or any other matter.

WE elected him to do a job, that being to rescue the courts from the liberals for one, and 2) especially after the democrats declined to work with him the first time, to put the SCREWS to said Democrats. The time for Mr Niceguy Ended with election 2004. Its time to grow a pair, and put the democrats in their proper place, and nominating miers does nothing to further that end.

MN. Unlike you, this conservative does not counsel the one abused to solve the abuse. Unlike you, I don't blame the victim. It ain't the fault of the faithful conservative. The faithful conservative has done his/her part. The faithful conservative has been patient and loyal. But, the faithful conservative recognizes limits

Campaign Finance Reform "I will never hit you again."

Education Reform Written by Teddy Kennedy"I will never hit you again."

Biggest Increase in Domestic Spending since LBJ "I will never hit you again."

No Immigration Reform "I will never hit you again."

Meiers Nomination "I will never hit you again."

And like some mad marriage counselor you advise the wife to shut-up, count her blessings and achieve perfection or else she will get more of what she deserves. Why, don't you know, the ladies at the Country Club are laughing at her what with all the talk about her leaving Hubby George and complaining about the abuse in public. Such things ought be kept quiet.

These pundits can't count to 50. That's the ONLY issue here. We don't have 50 Senators that will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to confirm the President's nominees. Some of the President's Circuit Court nominees STILL haven't received an up-or-down vote.

If Coulter and some of the other alleged "experts" had an ounce of political sophistication, they would be blasting the REAL people responsible for this mess -- the stinking Dirty 'Rats who abused the filibuster and those Republican Senators who let them get away with it instead of nuking those 'Rats back to the Stone Age! Instead, they just parrot the Loony Left -- "IT'S ALL BUSH'S FAULT!!"

I have nothing but contempt for those pundits who are stabbing our President in the back while he's under fire from the Left. They need to go sit in a box with Michael Moore and leave the real fighting to those who won't quit under fire. When Miers votes with Thomas and Scalia and Roberts and (I HOPE) JUSTICE JEFF SESSIONS, these people will be revealed for who they are -- completely irrelevent bloviators.

We also trusted Bush to secure our borders and fix social security, and to reform welfare and the tax code. Sorry, he's caved on all of those. What makes you think he wouldn't cave on de-liberalizing our Supreme Court.

I agree with other posters here that Bush is just too wimpy with our Republican majority that we voters fought hard to give him. Tell Bush to grow a pair, not us.

The President still has lower court nominees that can't get a vote. If the Senate won't act on those nominees, which really aren't important (compared to a SCOTUS nominee), what makes you think that a bomb-throwing radical (I mean that as a compliment) like Janice Rogers Borwn would get a vote for SCOTUS? It wouldn't happen; not with the current lineup in the Senate. I hate it, but that's reality.
