And the OU bomber just happened to have plastic bottles in his car? When are they going to level with us about these incidents? How long before the police guy has to back off it was a terrorist attack?

sacred lutefisk

And you and your infidel friends sit around wondering why the rest of the world hates you...the world shall be scrubbed of you and your ilk by the holy scotchpad, and fed with sacred green bean casserole.

Depends on how successfully they can suppress word of the events. If it's like the WTC bombing, then about a week. If like TWA Flight 800, then potentially forever.

They are actually calling it a Terrorist Act. I'm impressed.

That's only because they haven't yet found the depressed student that placed them there after re-thinking commiting suicide. Once they find him/her, it will be dismissed as nothing more than that.

"how long before that story changes?"

Classic disinfo tactic would be to trump this one up as a terrorist attack, build it up and build it up, only to release that (oops!) it was just a prank, and then proceed to mock anyone who "believed" it.

This actually is meant to diffuse the discussion on OU, PhiKapMom. Talk about tin foil, lol, but I think that really is the case with this.

Well when we think it through we can understand why ......

Does not play into the media frenzy that the terrorists want as they downplay the action denying them the joy of panic by the public.

Allows the Feds to investigate leads discovered to follow the network WITHOUT having all told in the press to allow them scurrying cover.

Allows the Feds to put in place monitoring devices, tracking equipment to lead to the higher ups.

Prevents public panic, copy-cat activities, recruiting advantage for the terrorists.

As opposed to the voyeuristic pleasure of the public, the use of these actions in political ploys, and the well-known ability of the press to support anti-American activities as the rights of the terrorists to kill Americans.

With George Bush in power - I would prefer to trust my government rather than the media.

I picked up on that! lol......... - but I will say that our PCUSA Church was very conservative - anti all the liberal items being pushed by the Liberal side of the Church - yes, there are still hold out sections of the country. We tend to get labeled incorrectly - it is just like any other issue, San Francisco and the North East push their agenda

Bobs, I put an entire refrigerator in my garage to lure folks in when I do yardwork - but the women around here are lazy and the men are too smart........... so I do the yardwork alone.

From the link at #20

The explosives were made up of chemicals placed inside water bottles and could have seriously injured someone, officials said. Numerous agencies were on the Georgia Tech campus to search for suspects.

So yea water bottles. But filled with some kind of explosive chemicals. Even gasoline would not be a Good Thing. Plus they were salvage fused, that is designed to go off when handled, you can't manage that with common fireworks, even if the bursting charge is something like an M-80. More likely they were 1/4 or 1/8 sticks of dynamite.

Anyway, a firecracker water-bomb in the dumpster sounds like just another bad college prank gone awry...

Except that it wasn't water in those bottles. Something explosive or at least flammable.
