Harriet Miers and bird flu seem to be the topics of the day.

Pretty weak lineup this morning.
To: Alas Babylon!
Well, Well. Another Biden-less, McCain-less week.
Note the focus: Harriet Miers. Subtle undercurrent of Bush-bashing via Miers. Pat Buchanan and Tim Russet?
Bird flu keeps creeping into the MSM consciousness.
To: Alas Babylon!
"disappointed, depressed and demoralised" - William Kristol.
Memo to Fox - Time to send Kristol to rehab & hire Hugh Hewitt in his place.

Very weak. No need to waste time watching Pat Buchannan, Chuckie Schmucker, et.al.
Maybe someone could let us know if Chuckie Schmucker gives his toll free number to order credit reports.

Moring Alas! As always thanks for the thread.

"disappointed, depressed and demoralised" - William Kristol. Exactly how he felt when Dubya kicked McCain's @$$ in the 2000 primaries!
To: Bahbah
Chris Mathews is an idiot. He thinks the war in Iraq is the reason Bush is dropping the polls. The media is as clueless as
the Bush administration.
To: Alas Babylon!
His endorsement helped McCain as much as Gore's helped Dean.
To: Alas Babylon!
Gary Bauer! It's the revenge of rat boy.
What, they couldn't find the ever shifty Ralph Reed?

Kristol expecting Russert invitation to MTP.
Weekly Standard commercial disappears, which was touting it's executive editor Kristol as the most influential, setting agenda for the WH.
I like WS, sans Kristol. Fred Barnes is much more intelligent as others in WS.

Gingrich did a flipflop during the week.
Tues/Wed he was extremely apprehensive of the Miers nomination.
By Thurs/Fri he was all in favor of her confirmation. (Newt much have enjoyed those calls from the WH.)

It would be more fun to watch the foot-race to the open mic between Graham and Gingrich.

Makes me wish I was the proverbial fly on the wall to hear what was in those phone calls to make the folks change their mind.
