May God watch over these brave young men and restore them to health. May He comfort their family and friends and guide those who care for them, in Jesus' name.

The Lord's Prayer for Injured Servicemen
Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.
For Thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
now and forever.
Amen.

O Lord of Comfort, Holy Spirit of the Living God, thank You for these heroes. Please help them all, their families, friends and doctors. Help them with healing and proper, effective care, faith in great assurance, hope in Christ Jesus, the greatest hero, and much support financial and emotional and spiritual through many of Your servants of Love.
Dear angelsonmyside, the story about your son makes so much sense to me...heroes are always more moved by the pain and suffering of others than by what they suffer themselves. May the Lord Almighty, the God of Our Fathers, comfort him and strengthen him as he serves his buddies with his bold and fearless love. Amen.
Your prayers are of great power, loving mama of a great man.

Prayer for the "boys" and their families going up.
I really admire him for handling a bad situation so well, but most people I know can handle the sight of their own blood better than someone else's. It's much harder on him to see his comrades hurt and being told they may not make it.

A Small Prayer for Three Injured Servicemen
Be, Lord Jesus,
a bright flame before me,
a guiding star above me,
a smooth path below me,
a kindly shepherd behind me:
today, tonight, and forever.
Amen.

Yikes! Prayers for your son's friends sent heavenward. Sounds like he's been through a lot himself, but has a good head on his shoulders. Perhaps that's why others apparently turn to him when THEY need help.
