I just received a phone call from my son that is in the Air Force. Apparently 3 of his friends and fellow Airmen, were involved in 2 separate accidents yesterday.
One was on a motorcycle he had only bought a few minutes before the accident occurred. He told me this young man had just bought this bike literally minutes before and took off without a helmet. He hit a pole and suffered severe head trauma. My son said they were not expecting him to make it.
The other 2 were involved in auto accident and my son told me they had to get the jaws of life to cut them out of the vehicle. One of these 2 were not expected to make it either.
When my son called he was at the hospital with one of them and he told me they were about to take him to surgery. I'm not sure which one he was there to see, I only know the hospital is 45 minutes from the base and he did mention they were at 2 different hospitals.
All of these young men are Stateside, stationed at Travis Air Force Base in CA. Please forgive me for not posting their names. I do not know how the Military contacts family and since it just happened late last night... Well you all know what I'm trying to say, besides God knows who they are.
I knew something was wrong when he called and he was so shaken. That is saying a lot because my son is a very strong individual that is always in control. When he was 19 he was shot in the face with a .38 (according to the Doctor that took most of the bullet out of him) and still managed to drive himself and another person 10 miles for help. Although the kid that was with him panicked my son threw his phone to the kid told him to calm down and instructed him to start making calls to my husband and several friends to and let us know where to meet him to get him to the hospital, while driving and holding pressure on his face to slow down the blood loss.
When I arrived he was trying to calm me down, telling me he was going to be ok. All the while with a shatter jaw and tremendous amount of blood loss. So like I said for him to be shaken, I know this is not the norm for him.
Please pray for these young men.

I have young sons too, in their twenties. I cannot imagine life without them! Please know that I will continue my heartfelt prayers for these young men and their families.

Continued prayers for this young man and his family. It's gonna be a long hard road.

Let all this work together as a testimony to Your Sovereign Control and mercy and the faith which was once for all given to the Saints in Christ Jesus.
I pray especially for the healing of the souls of this wounded biker/airman and for the faith of his mama - let her SEE and HEAR and BELIEVE that You are There, Jehovah-Shammah.
Your mercy, O God, to deliver into Your Kingdom and out of the world of men into the Kingdom of Your Christ takes many forms. You super-orchestrate it all, according to each one's need, how the heart of each one was designed to hear Your Voice and Live!
I do ask, Father and Healer, Redeemer and Friend, that the young man's injuries all come to healing, but more than these, and more immediate the need, I ask for Salvation to come like a flood with Your Word and Spirit through a multitude of witnesses, counselors, preachers and teachers and ministers of Your Gospel and Grace. Let Your Glory be Manifest in these hard circumstances, with comfort for the mother of this injured biker/airman - the Peace that Passes All Understanding as she hears that You are Trustworthy and hear our prayers; that You love us and it is Your Will that NONE should perish but all come to saving knowledge of the Truth!
I pray that even as the man's lung is healed and he is able to breathe on his own again, that the Breath of Your Holy Spirit come into his person for faith, and through his dear mother with the same conviction of Your Holiness and Power, and the power of our prayers in Your Living Stream!
I ask that even as his ribs and bones are mended and made whole and strong again, that You, O Reconciler of Men to God, will come to heal and mend and make strong the relationship between You and them, for the casting out of all fear in love, with sound mind and power.
Thank You, Father of All, for making his brain okay - let the swelling be of love and peace and joy in and all around him and his mama and not of any of his vital organs - especially for his spine, dear Merciful One: make it whole and well again with no permanent damage or pain.
Please grant wisdom to all who care for him that he be given comfort in all the many ways You have allowed us to discover through medicines and surgeries, but most of all bring comfort to his heart and soul, and the the heart and soul of his mama.
Send angelsonmyside and many angels to guard and lift up and surround and glow on these two suffering ones.
Make them very little in their suffering and pain and not angry. Let them be humble to ask for Your mercy and humble to see Your Attendant Workings in all these healings and to give You thanks and praise and all the glory as each little miracle occurs along the way, most especially the miracle of faith to believe in You and that You hear our prayers and answer from Your Treasurehouse in Jesus Christ the Lord and Savior of all who will come. Amen.
Yikes! Prayers for your son's friends sent heavenward. Sounds like he's been through a lot himself, but has a good head on his shoulders. Perhaps that's why others apparently turn to him when THEY need help.
