A conservative uproar erupted over President George Bush's recent appointee to the Supreme Court. Bush nominated Harriet Miers to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor. But several key Republican senators say she not the best candidate.
MSNBC-TV's Tucker Carlson talks to former judge and Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork about the Harriet Miers' nomination. He says it's, "a disaster on every level" because she has "no experience with constitutional law whatever". The nomination is a "slap in the face" to conservatives.
TUCKER CARLSON, MSNBC HOST: Are you impressed by the presidents choice of Harriet Miers?

No, he just smells funny.

1. We shall see and will know much more about her in the weeks to come, and perhaps she will be an excellent judge. and
2. I really, really don't care what you think of me.
That is precisely my POINT! Thank You!
Now 65 is a much better post. Your opinion should never be predicated on what somebody thinks of you.
Wouldn't the right to vote kinda trump the right to bear arms? Your .57 magnum is nice to have but it doens't do much for you when it comes to voicing your support for your leaders by voting for them...
The right to bear arms will never be taken away, don't worry, there are MUCH bigger issues than that...
" What would Kristol do? "
If you were watching the FOX roundtable on election night at about 6:45pm EST, Kristol announced that the reason GW had lost the election to Kerry was because he had not sold the Iraq war to the American people.
Kristol was wrong , but, not entirely.
President Bush and the WH Communications Office has been stumbling for quite awhile.
Their message delivery system has been AWOL.
The WH should have been touting Harriet Miers to conservatives and skeptical Senators long before the announcement.
The Re"public"can fighting could and should have been avoided with more deft behind the scenes communication.
" I have studied her record..."Would you mind share???
LOL, but sad ,this cartoon you posted seems to have more than a little TRUTH.
Tomas, conservatism is about self-responsibility and putting blame squarely where it belongs.
You don't like hiding conservatism, neither do I. But the fact of the matter is that we have more than enough RINO and Democrats in the senate who are screwing things up.
I suggest you blame them, or better yet I suggest you blame the people who voted for them.
Did you see the results of the last election?
And you want an ultra conservative to be trashed unmercifully by the Dems and the MSM. You know they all hate minorities, immigrants, unwed mothers, puppy dogs...
In the eyes of half this country, fire breathing conservatives eat babies!
Some start to the 2006 elections!
Gee. I wonder what he calls his own.
We're simply on such different pages that never the twain shall meet. With that, I'll end our discussion here.
Bottom right.
This is like having TWO First Round picks back-to-back, and your 2nd pick is someone, not from MICH, FLA, or OHIO ST..., but from 'Southern Timbucktoo State College'!
Though personally most of my smoking materials are wrapped in maduro.
LOL
