Everyone
There is a debate being planned between pro & con Iraqi War groups at Sherwood High School on Oct. 24, starting at 7:30. Sherwood's address is 300 Olney-Sandy Spring Road (MD Rte. 108), Sandy Spring, Maryland. The school is closer to Ashton, at MD. Rtes. 108 and 650.
The debate is being organized by the "pull out now" anti-war group so you know they will have a lot of their people there. The one thing I do not care for is the moderator, at this time, is not a neutral person concerning the Iraqi war. I am working on changing that, but after taking to the person organizing it, it will be an up hill battle.
Sen. Al Wynn (D) is to give opening remarks. Other local elected representatives will be invited to attend, and they are also Democrats, though I'm not sure of their views on the Iraqi war. Again, I'm concerned about the heavily anti-war representation.
The exact venue is still some what nebulous. It is shaping up to be a debate between two representatives on stage with participation from the audience. We will keep you apprised of changes.
I have verified that for our side, Mr. James "Jim" Phillips from the Heritage Foundation will be there.
Please plan to attend. We were greatly out numbered for the counter Cindy Sheehan protest. We need to be well represented at this debate. Otherwise, our side will be branded as the minority group in support of the troops and their mission in Iraq.
Also, please spread the word to your contacts.
Mr. & Mrs. Trooprally
Why DC and not MD as a topic and are you a troll?
Do you mean this Al Wynn?

He's in the US House.
Maybe I jumped the gun?
"Pull out now"
Sounds like a relatively ineffective method of birth control.
(Wiggles cigar, waggles eyebrows, rubber chicken descends on string.)
Oops - You are correct. Thanks
Trooprally
This thing would seem to have the potential for some serious ugliness.
". . . and they are also Democrats, though I'm not sure of their views on the Iraqi war."
I'll give you one guess.
Wynn will be on his own turf.
It sounds like a hate-bush fest.
And, I don't know anything about James Phillips.
We are winning in Iraq.
Iraq has been a liberation of Iraq from a dictatorship to a democracy.
Iraq went from 1 dictator to over 100 political parties and movements.
And they will soon affirm (or reject) their constitution.
Whatever one thinks of the war's impact in Iraq, one thing is undeniable. Iraq was formerly oppressed and is now run by the power of the people.
Make them think.
You can use this if you'd like. "Who's Foolin Who"
You can download it and burn off copies to give to people before hand if you want. Help set the stage.
Mr. and Mrs. Troop Rally were at the Walter Reed demonstration (as they have been for the past several weeks) and talked to us about this event.
If you are familiar with the Maryland area, Sherwood HS is easy to find. If you are Virginia members of the DC Chapter, the HS is located approximately 30 minute drive north on MD route 97 (aka Georgia Avenue).
If any VA freepers want to attend this, I can pick up folks at a Maryland Metro station, and drop off at same after the event. Maybe other MD Freepers can also offer to do the same, so we can at least have a token amount of American patriots in the audience to support our troops and our administration's efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thanks in advance for reading this; and please keep an eye out for further updates from Freeper trooprally and her mister.
They are not trolls and are requesting back up at an important meeting.
She and her husband have been waging war against the lefties in upper Montgomery County for a while now.
AND, they stood out in pouring humidity for 3-plus hours last night with us at WRAMC. Thanks for the ping, so I could clarify, leadpenny.
PS: It was good to see you a couple of weeks ago. :-)
I could probably make it if I can get picked up and dropped off at a metro station.
Many thanks for your support tgslTakoma!! The closes metro station is Glenmont at the end of the red line. From there it is a 15 minute drive. We can also pick up people.
I was being unreasonably mean to trooprally, wasn't I?
I'll bet they're tough and can take it.
What kind of media is going to be at this event and do you plan to get yourself ejected, Takoma?
Liberals always pull out too early
It made an appearance at the anti Code PinkO corner of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street (WRAMC) last night. Code PinkO guys were dismayed, Code PinkO gals nodded in understanding.
Mean...no. Overly cautious...yeah, maybe. ;*)
FR has become so infiltrated with trolls and the like that it was a perfectly understandable caution to take. Thanks for being on the look out!
