Make all report cards numerical.

Hey, with Lithuanian and Swedish grandfathers, and with one Scottish grandma and the other hav9ing American lineage back to Boston circa 1680, I have zero problems with legal immigration.
Emphasize legal. Our southern "undocumented immigrants" are nothing more than criminals, IMO.

When a country adopts laws like this and tries to be every thing to every body that country cease to exist. There is such a thing as going too far. How many multi-cultures can a country have before the country becomes a NO country and becomes just a GREAT PLACE TO LIVE IN?
Actually it goes deeper than that. It seems as though a lot of people want their own little circumstances where they only get THEIR way. Too many people like to blame the other guy, focus on the negative, not take personal responsibility for things, look out for "me" first, go nuts if they don't get their way, and so on and so on. (I should know, I do it all the time:). I don't know where it has come from exactly, but it alarms me.

They all speak English because that, harhar, is the one language they all agree to speak, as much as they HATE the idea. As in India, as in the entire world.

The lone opposition on the panel, Andrew Lanza (R-S.I.), called the bill a waste of taxpayer money that sends the message that learning English is not important. But supporters of the bill said the department's efforts do not go far enough.
It's never enough when it comes to supporters of multiculturalism.
Since the translator I use is not available on weekends, this response is posted in English. Please forgive my lack of sensitivity and inclusiveness.

Amen !!
When you come to America, you should become Americans, and become a part of the AMERICAN culture, not multicutureism

Okay...but isn't there one American student of Vietnamese ancestry that might be a poor student and lie about his/her grades? We must protect the parents of these scheming kids.../sarcasm.

In India, only a certain population speaks English, though they do speak it pretty well.

Oh, thank you. I was afraid it was going to get out. I'm one of the few people out there who is as dumb as he looks, but I try to cover that up.

In public schools in Fairfax County, just outside of Washington DC, about 50,000 students (about a third) come from homes in which a language other than English is spoken. Over a hundred native languages are spoken. While many parents also speak English, the languages for which translation services are routinely provided are Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Korean, Kurdish, Spanish, Urdu, and Vietnamese.
For "auditorium" events like community meetings and back-to-school nights up to 100 attendees using headphones can hear interpretations in up to six languages, plus sign language and cued speech for the deaf.

Holy cats! That's nuts. I can understand the sign language maybe, but the rest? Egads.

Another aspect of this....
Black America is about to get steam-rolled and their "leaders" are still fighting the last war.
The whole affirmative action, reparations, White America v. Black America "struggle" is history only they don't know it yet. How will they make their case when it is second generation Koreans, Indians, Chinese, Eastern Europeans, etc making the hiring decisions? I doubt some Korean American who watched his parents work 70 hours a week in a dry cleaner so he could go to Penn State is going to feel too much sympathy for the Jesse followers. Nor do I think that he's going to elect politicians who sing that song.
