Explosion at PotBelly restaurant on 7th Street in D.C. just reported on scanner. Closing streets, evacuating other restaurants in area. No clue if gas or other cause. No active fire reported.
I dunno... If having anthrax delivered to congressional offices doesn't scare the bajeezus out of them, I think exploding restaurants won't phase them in the least. No one except that pansy Mark Dayton.

My guess is also a gas explosion, probably after they closed up, from the hours listed on the website. There seems to one squad car and one ladder truck on the scene. You can see there's another fire or police vehicle sitting at the end of the block. Doesn't appear to be a frantic scene. Mostly some FD guys milling around.

Let me know if it works. Had to downloaded Winamp.
That is my guess as well.
HI LR, we will hear about this the same time we hear about the "suicide" bombing last Saturday at the UO game.
Don't worry it was a tragic young man committing suicide with a backpak full of TATP. Happens all the time you know.
And no, a team of Homeland Security people didn't just show up at my door and tell me to say that. It just doesn't have the appearance of any type of ongoing situation. They're probably just waiting for the guys from the Gas Company to show up.
"Had to downloaded Winamp."
Correction, that's for the scanner link I was listening to.
Wow, I had no idea we could do this, very interesting.
"I'm actually tempted to state at this time "nothing to see here, folks, move along".
I agree since it closed an hour or so earlier.
The MSM? Oh....they are busy with other more important stories /sarc
dump on me, will ya?
Well, the cop car just drove away. Don't think it's a criminal situation this time.
